Oh com'on, can you really say no to $29 rooms?? I guess you can if you decide to stay at the Excalibur, but the Imperial Palace, as ... it is what it is ... is so mid-strip it's hard to pass up an opportunity to check out what all the college student rage is all about. My friends used to ...

A room at this lodge-themed hotel isn't the only affordable part. There is also a great, cheap buffet and drinks that are much more fairly priced than most other places in Vegas. There are also plenty of free drinks to go around for those who spend time in the casino.

I have gambled here, but have not stayed in or seen the rooms. I had a nice time, and the drink service was quick at the tables. Low limits. Plenty of table games and slots. A nice place to stop in for an afternoon.

This might be my favorite casino on the strip. It has the cheapest craps I've seen in central Vegas. If the tables are full just go to the video craps. It's like giant boggle but you can win money. Best part is in the back of the casino is a footlong hotdog shop and they are only a buck! Or ...

There are three reasons you should know about the Golden Gate in downtown Las Vegas on the Fremont Street Experience. One: the valet parking lot is easy to get to and rarely full. Two: Du-Par's diner for fluffy pancakes. Three: the antique 'one-armed' bandits (slot machines) back by the hotel lobby. As a side note, this is the oldest casino ...

I am judging this hotel & casino only by downtown Las Vegas standards, so don't expect this to be a three-star stay or a three-star time if you're used to the luxuries of the Venetian or Bellagio. Fremont is a very interesting casino in the sense that the rooms tend to be nicer than what you would expect (although not ...

This was perfect for my needs this trip. $119 1bdr suite w/full kitchen and free wifi, large jacuzzi tub in the bedroom, and built-in stacked washer and dryer. I saved a lot of money just going to Von's and cooking in the full kitchen several days, leaving more money for things like entertainment and gambling. Plus, I didn't have to ...

El Cortez, which was built in 1941, is a little piece of Las Vegas history. It is the longest-running hotel and casino in the city and, due to its off-Strip location, is popular among the locals who would gladly trade the glitz and glam of more modern accommodations for this hotel's unique vibe (and cheaper prices!).

Although this is slightly off the strip, this hotel is charming. When you drive up, you'll quickly learn they only valet. I'm not a fan of valets in general because there's a high potential for your vehicle to be damaged. I've seen it happen before and I've had friends tell me their horror stories. So to calm my nerves, I ...
