The outside of the building is so nondescript that it would be easy to pass by, if you're not looking out for the plaque that humbly announces the hotel's presence. But the humbleness ends there. Inside are comfortable, modern, stylish, sizable apartments. And central - they sit over the main drag of what in my mind may be the coolest neighborhood in town. Though this is called a hotel, it really isn't - at least not in the common usage of the word: there is no room service or pool or lobby. But there is a daily room cleaning and a helpful staff to guide you through your stay in the city, and you can rent the space for a night, a week, a month or a year (prices go down the longer you stay). If what you want is the feeling of living in Santiago – and living in one of its safest and most bohemian neighborhoods – this is an excellent choice.

This hotel is more of a modern apartment building with full functioning kitchens than a hotel but nonetheless it still provides much of the same services as a hotel to include daily room service. This can be a great stay for one night but it is ideal for longer stays such as week long conferences or if you are studying abroad for a semester. The prices fluctuate according to how long your stay is and if you are a student or not. These apartments are wonderful with the added benefit of being in "el estarria" neighborhood. When ever I am close by I love to come and spend an afternoon or evening here enjoying the European style neighborhood with no less than 20 amazing restaurants. Also the Santa Lucia Cerro (hill) is a stone throw away and it is a great spot to spend a whole Sunday walking, eating, or sleeping with some of the best people watching in all of Santiago.
