We were there for dinner.
I had the 20Oz porter house, my wife had the 12Oz new york steak.
The new york steak was a bit dry (ordered Medium) but it was delicious non the less.
The porter house was very good but I would prefer to be served a bit hotter dish.
We came with our 18 Months princess and we found a very baby friendly place, they have kids menus and even crayons which is absolutely a blessing if you have kids with you.
Out waitress was very friendly, professional and welcoming.
Overall we had a great meal, time and money well spent.Recommended for:Family Travelers

Dry-aged steak lovers, put your hands in the air and say "heeeey!" Admittedly, the short ribs are a little underwhelming, but all is forgiven because the pork belly is so gooood. The sauces that come with the oysters are pretty good too, and they have a decent selection of wines to pair with your courses. There's a large dining area and more seating in a fancy outdoor patio. The bar isn't bad to hang at either, though it's small. It's a nice venue, but it's also a chill vibe -- not at all stuffy and you won't get looks for coming in casual dress. Imagine that your server is the epitome of refined service -- attentive, descriptive, makes great recommendations, prompt, accommodating, accurate, extremely polite, and knows when/when not to interrupt your dinner. Now stop imagining and make a reservation already!

Me, a plus one?
As of late my invitation status has been slightly changed from the Invited to the Invited's plus one. Who am I to complain? Time spent with great food and lovely company is better than not spending time with great food and lovely company. The beauty of this time around was that it was her company's holiday party. So in my mind that summed up to needing to find my red tie... you know since red = festive.
I do recall this venue as being as nice as it ever was. The first time was at the yelp elite event last spring. Though this time around I noticed the cow hide, which I might add is faux cow hide and that now cows were hurt in the process either on or off site. hahaha Too bad the same could not be said about the meats that were procured for our consumption.
The staff was ever attentive.. waiting on us as our group assembled in the waiting area. About half a dozen drinks a person and a handful of appetizers later.. everyone was accounted for and we proceeded to seat ourselves for the meal ahead. Parsnip soup was delicious followed by the salad which was highlighting pecans and pears. All this made way for the new york steaks and poached lobsters.
One impermutable truth about the holidays...
Company Christmas dinner = Company paid drinks
The conversations that were had was great though if it was just due to my own intoxication or not is up to debate.

Amazing brunch spot on Santana Row!
There were so many things that caught my eye as I went down the menu, including the vanilla brioche french toast and salmon hash with poached eggs. Then it was between the NY Roast French Dip and the New England lobster roll. The $17 lobster roll won, and I'm so happy I got it! It was a huge portion with super fresh lobster chunks and served with the best French fries ever! I had a bite of the prime skirt steak and eggs, and that was really succulent. Can't go wrong ordering steak here!
LOVE the elegant and chic decor inside, but on a warm day/night, the outdoor dining area is great. It may be a French inspired steakhouse, but service is friendly and totally unpretentious. There's a beautiful bar and "library" in the back, which is great for private parties! Definitely a choice spot for brunching in SJ - will have to return for dinner soon.
