Le Cafe Marly

8 reviews

Yes, this place is expensive, but I find that enjoying a coffee or glass of wine on the terrace facing the Louvre in all its splendor is worth every penny. The interior is also really beautiful and the waiters/waitresses all look like models! I've never eaten here, so I can't comment on the food, apart from the fact that the ...

Enjoyed an excellent lunch here, particularly a risotto, which is not very French but well prepared to fresh ingredients. The ambiance is suited to the Palais Royal setting with linens and crystal.

This restaurant was the highlight of my experience in Paris. If the charm of Eric Setour, the sommelier, doesn't draw you in instantly, Emmanuelle, the convivial hostess, will seal the deal. They have proven themselves truly worthy of inheriting this landmark restaurant. The food is divine - better than we had at a Michelin-starred restaurant, in fact. The presentations may ...

More than the food, its the stunning view that makes this restuarant a must visit. Its located right in the backdrop of the famous glass pyramid at Lourve. The food and drinks are on the expensive side but the hospitality and the taste compensate for the same.

    Ladurée

0.43 mi from Le Cafe Marly
    93 reviews

Ladurée is probably the most famous brand of macarons in Paris! I have to admit that I prefer Pierre Hermé's macarons (as I find Ladurée's flavors too classic and not as creative/daring), but Ladurée is a close second! Their teahouse/restaurant on the Champs Elysées is really beautiful and eating one of their delicate pastries, while surrounded by the regal décor, ...

I went by the famous cafe but it was very expensive and not all that impressive looking so I decided not to hang around. It seemed like a bit of an over rated tourist trap.

In the battle between Les Deux Magots and Cafe Flore, I'm probably more of a Cafe Flore fan, but both of these Saint-Germain establishments are great places to enjoy a light bite, coffee, or a late night drink.

This busy little cafe is a must eat in Paris. Great steak (which comes with additional serving!) and generous portion of fries. Not to mention the mouthwatering sundae stacks to close off the meal. Love it!

    Maison Georges Larnicol

0.65 mi from Le Cafe Marly

I was very excited to see Maison Georges Larnicol, a MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France - the most prestigious award) pastry shop, on the street leading to Sacre Coeur. The shop smells of delicious chocolate. There was even a large Eiffel Tower completely made out of chocolate on display. The macarons are delicious and the chocolate rich, but not too ...

French cousine at its best in a great place. Admit that a good deal of tourists (including us) have heard of the place after watching a move with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton "Something Gotta Give", but unless you expect it to be something absolutely extraordinary this is absolutely a great place! will definitely return!
