Although it is pricey for what you get, the location overlooking the priceless treasures of the Louvre make this cafe worth it.

Despite the sometimes spotty service, Cafe Marly is still a favorite standby, especially for dining with visitors. The slightly predictable Costes brothers menu has something for everyone and offers everything from Foie Gras to cheeseburgers, (but no French fries), making this is a good place to go with a group and a safe bet with children. The view from the terrace is always a treat, as is the overall proximity to the Louvre.

The food here is very reliably good, contemporary rather than classic but not particularly innovative. However, the setting is great as it overlooks the sculpture court at the Louvre.

Go to the Louvre. Go to the Museé Des Arts Décoratifs (107, rue de Rivoli) and then have lunch at Café Marly out in the sun. It's on the terrace of the Louvre.
