By far, my favorite and most memorable part of the trip to Quebec City. Quartier Petit Champlain is an area of Old Quebec, namely, the oldest commercial district in North America. Today, all of its historical facades are preserved with brand new stores and restaurants on the sides of the street. Walking down the narrow street of la rue du ...

What an incredible and unique sight. Near the Place Royale, the Québecois Fresco is the first of a series of wall arts completed in Quebec City as a reminder of the past. The site is located at the ruins of several houses which was first burnt down in the 15th century, rebuilt, bombed and demolished a few times more in ...

Another beautiful Basilique! One of the seven Holy Doors in the world is located here. Since they're celebrating its 350th year the pope has granted permission for the door to be open to the public for the remainder of the year. Quite an honor to be able to walk through there!

Who doesn't love fishes and octopus floating in the window? The Boutique Métiers D'Art in the Old Quebec district specializes in displaying glass crafts. This is one of the three crafts shops sponsored by CMAQ in promoting and supporting local artisans. The glass shop is rather unique with a full glass blowing studio complete with furnace. They have showings from ...

Unique, artistic and impressive. This stunning glass art shop is located in the Quartier Petit Champlain. The store front is almost impossible to miss as it is rather eyecatching with its mesmerizing colors and incredible display of glass arts (i.e. glass sculpture of a cat and mouse) in the window display. The store is not big, but the display of ...

Very interesting museum. A mix between north american native, french and modern exhibits. Definitely a place to bring the kids for an indoor activity. You could easily spend 3 to 4 hours visiting the location. Longer depending on your interests.... Quite refreshing to see such a diverse collection of items and a very well curated set of rooms.

I absolutely adore the feel of strolling along a European street and Old Quebec's got it. Inside the fortified walls, Old Quebec has been declared as a national heritage treasure by UNESCO. The effort of preservation is incredible, from the moment of entering Old Quebec, it felt as if time has transformed back into the 15th century. The home of ...
