My favorite part about Le Parker Méridien is their “Do not disturb” door sign – it says “FUHGETTABOUDIT”. I liked it so much – I took it as a souvenir. But there are many other good things about this nice hotel. It is located within walking distance from NY attractions such as Carnegie Hall, Broadway Theater District, Columbus Circle, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue. It’s only a couple of blocks away from Central Park – you can go jogging in the park before you start your day (as my husband usually does). If you get a room on a higher floor with a view of the Central Park (ask for Tower Rooms), you are in for a treat as you’ll be able to enjoy beautiful views without even leaving your room. The rooms are spacious, with modern furniture and comfortable bed. There are a couple of popular eating places on premises. One is a burger place, called Burger Joint – they don’t serve anything else there, just burgers and fries. The place is tiny, and is sort of hidden down the narrow hallway but it’s easy to find, as there is usually a line of “meat-eaters” outside waiting to get in. The other place is Norma’s – famous breakfast/lunch place, usually very crowded inside with people waiting outside. It’s somewhat overpriced but the food is very good. I also like the hotel’s cozy bar/lounge.

Have very, very fond memories of Le Parker Meridien from when I lived here in NYC. Whenever we wanted to splurge on a brunch, we would go to Norma's. Special occasions or not, the food was always yummy. The hotel itself is very modern and beautiful, with super high ceilings which just gives it that special touch. The service is terrific as well, of course, but then you would not expect anything less from Le Parker Meridien!

Solid hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Close to theatres, restaurants, shops and Central Park. Be sure to earn SPG points as it's part of Starwood Hotels. The lobby has two popular restaurants especially The Burger Joint with a never ending line.Recommended for:

Its a nice no frills hotel.
Clean and trying impossibly hard to be hip and young. The rooms are tiny as are many in the city. The staff is attentive.
I stayed there in April 2012 and there is major construction happening. You will not sleep late if your room faces the construction so if you're looking to sleep late be sure to get a high floor.Recommended for:

Gasp at the reviews of my lovely Parker Meridien! I've made this hotel a must frequent on my NY visits and never once have I had a bad time whether I'm just there for the infamous Burger Joint, which admittedly is a bit over hyped, having brunch at Norma's or simply enjoying the location of Parker Meridien and the great views of Central Park.
I've never received rude treatment from the staff or the management for any issues or complaints and I have so rarely seen them treat anyone walking through their lobby with disdain.
The lounge is nice, the bar is packed at night with folks waiting for burger joint or after burger joint just wanting a drink and it's near many great coffee places one of which is the cute Italian espresso bar where there are no chairs and they're open until 12 am.
It is also close to the subway that is only one junction from a multi-junction subway station where you can take the orange and blue lines so convenience is written all over this place. I would definitely recommend the Parker Meridien.
