Wonderful locals-only restaurant specialized in grilled meat and fish served on hot stones. Well of the beaten path, you will likely be the only non-Swiss visitor. The views and service are lovely. Vegetarians will struggle but can find a few options.

Had a fantastic meal here with children. The raclette was delicious and meats grilled to perfection on open grill. Very warm and cosy atmosphere. Did not try the fondue, but that seemed to be a specialty, as well as meats and other traditional Swiss entrees.Popular with

Exceptionally good family-run restaurant. No frills but incredibly quaint. The perfect place to fill up on a gut busting pot of fondue. The local tomato-based version is highly recommended -- a mix of cheese and tomato served with potatoes. Very popular. Reserve in advance. Closes at 10 pm but will often stay open later.

We happened to be there on Easter, but traveling with kids isn't 5 course gala dinner friendly. However, they let us order a la carte, and were great with our allergy related limitations. My lamb was wonderful, the restaurant is great, and the staff is friendly and unflappable. It's a great place that I'll happily visit again.

Competent little creperie serving up a mix of sweet and savory standards. Family-run and decorated to the hilt in Petite Prince memorabilia and knickknacks. A good place to enjoy a cup of cider and a savory crepe after a day on the slopes.

The coffee shop is nice, but it pales in comparison to the view that it offers. As the name implies, it has great views in all directions. Being at 3500 meters, you look down on quite a few good sized peaks. There's a large terrace, and lots of inside space. If you ski (or hike in summer), then it's a ...Popular with

So Swiss I couldn't tell if it was kitschy or just authentically over the top. I'm going with the latter. Good, basic food and drink, super friendly, goat adjacent. What more can you ask for? Its on the outskirts of town, so stop in after a nice long hike as you head downtown.
