First built in the 14th Century, the destroyed by the Fire of London in 1666, and has been a covered market ever since the re-building which followed. The place was once again demolished in the late 19th Century and completely restored in the late 1990s and today is one of London's most baroque markets, even though it has been partially colonised by chain restaurants. Movie buffs might notice the market making an appearance in 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'. As Georgi observed in his review, the Christmas decorations here are exceptional.Recommended for:History Buffs

One of the coolest and oldest market in London. The shops have been replaced with latest ones but it still retains the grandeur baroque architecture. And in Christmas it's decorated with dazzling vistas . Must visit!
