The Best Italian Vibe you can get. from food to ambiance to interior. It may be a small restaurant, but one step behind the door immerses you with genuine Italian tradition. The Margherita Pizza is a must have, with delicious pasta with bacon and mushroom sauce, and an exquisite Tiramisu to end that perfect meal. Highly recommended.
So, this joint is in all the guidebooks, but who cares? It's good, and it's cheap (and real live Lebanese people eat there too). It's a great little time capsule, with weird murals and paintings on the walls. Specials change every day, and you can get all kinds of home-cooking kinds of dishes, as well as simple stuff like boiled ...Popular with

Very nice and tasty food such as Burgers, Salads, delightful sandwiches and platters. My Top picks would be the 'Chicken Sub' and definitely the must-try is any of the sweet crêpes! Yes, if you're asking for crêpes, Crepaway is the answer. 'The good food, in good mood'
- 812 Rue Naher, Armenia Street, Beirut, Lebanon
This is basically ground zero for Lebanon's artisanal and regional foods. The great thing about the country is that it's so tiny, it's feasible for kindly old grannies to trundle into Beirut once every couple of weeks and cook up an enormous lunch, then go home the same night. Tawlet serves a lunch that changes daily to focus on a ...Popular with
- 1112 Naher Street Chalhoub Building Beirut
This restaurant was recommended to me by fellow Gogobot users (thanks! :) ) and is a great spot for lunch. Located in Mar Mikhael, a fun district with lots of bars and cafes, Tawlet runs a buffet set-up of truly delicious salads, meats, cheeses, vegetables and hummous. The man behind Tawlet, Kamal Mouzawak, is considered a culinary trailblazer in the ...Popular with
This is a semi-fancy restaurant in the downtown area, just off Place d'Etoile. It has some nice sidewalk seating, and prices are pretty reasonable. I was exceptionally excited about it because the menu is a bit broader and has some dishes you don't see very often in restaurants--eggplant fatteh, for instance. And the guys next to me were eating some ...Popular with

Set in a charming French Mandate period building, Julia's enjoys a decent reputation underpinned by its heavily French-influenced menu, though you'll find alot of international Fusion dishes too. Book a table on the patio when the weather is good.
- 14Mar Antonios Street, Gemmayze, Beirut, Lebanon
One if the best places to visit form the pubs of the Gemmayze Street. I always run into artists, architects, businessmen, and feel nice class level of this resto/pub. It offers dinner but wouldn't recommend it due to the crowd, but I'd rather just go there and have a drink on the bar.Popular with

- 18Byblos Old Souk, Byblos, Lebanon2 reviews
It is very advised to visit Byblos Old Souk at night where the ambiance is a more crowded, fun yet romantic. And if you want to focus on the last word, you have to have dinner in Eddé Cafe (or simply E Cafe) where candlelights and steak fit perfectly together.
