It's the nightlife district of Amsterdam - minus the red light sex appeal. Less shady, more downtown feel - it's the hoppin', happenin' place to be for bars, clubs, restaurants, and shopping.

Great plaza to centralize a night out on the town. Much like a miniature version of the Red Light District, minus the prostitution, Leidseplein is a lot of fun, safe and centrally located.

Whenever I visit Amsterdam I can guarantee by the end of the night I will be in one of the little bars off Leidseplein! From the outside they look a little naff, and nothing more than a narrow bar but the atmosphere inside is always fab! Great place to go for a casual after dinner drink which will inevitably turn into dancing!

A bit the center of attraction for people going out. The square is packed with restaurants and place to enjoy music or show in the evening. Coming there is quite easy as at least 3 or 4 line of trams pass by the place. If you don't know what to do one evening in Amsterdam, just go there and you'll find something to enjoy.

Thursday, Friday or Saturday night you should take a drink at the Leidseplein. Leidseplein is a busy square at the southern end of Amsterdam's central canal ring. At this square, there are plenty of interesting sights and entertaining services and street performance are present most of the time.
