A palatial hotel, with terraced levels of lounges and restaurants. It is worth checking out for sure. The pool is reasonable, but does not compare to the other high end luxury resorts in the area like Swahili beach. However, the beach here is very nice. A great white sand beach in a protected cove. The food is also delicious here. ...

Not the best place to eat dinner, as the food is somewhere int he okay range, and a bit pricy. However, after dinner, this place still reigns as the spot to go. This is the most famous site in Mombasa, a beautiful old fort, with amazing ocean views. A great way to start a visit to the old city centre. I would recommend not taking valuables, and being careful of pickpockets. That being said, Mombasa has the most amazing laid back charm, and its inhabitants are like muslim cariocas.Popular withHistory

Palm fronds fluttering overhead. White sugary sand underfoot. The warm aquamarine water of the Indian Ocean lapping at the shore. A laid back vibe and massage shacks on the beach. Tiwi beach goes down as easy as a cold brew of Tuska Beer.

Nyali is the safe, monied suburb to the north of Mombasa island. The houses are opulent, and there is enough security for each of them, that is it even possible to walk around during the night. There are high-end hotels and at least one backpackers (Nirvana). A chill place to stay which is near the beach, and close to Mombasa, ...Popular withBackpackersOutdoorLuxury
