Forum des Halles is a shopping center. It is probably not one of the most exciting sights to see in Paris, especially in comparison to the Sacre Coeur and Eiffel Tower. It's not a bad place to go though, although this would probably rank low on things to do and see in Paris.Recommended for:Art & Design Lovers

Les Halles is an area of Paris, France, located in the 1st arrondissement, just south of rue Montorgueil. It is named for a large central wholesale marketplace which was demolished in 1971 and replaced with an underground modern shopping precinct, the Forum des Halles, whose open air center area is below street level, like a sunken garden, and contains sculptures, fountains, and mosaics.

A mostly underground (= dark) shopping centre where you can find everything you need - if you can actually find your way around it's labyrinthine layout. It's also a major hangout place for the local youth, so there's definitely more enjoyable shopping experiences.
