do you remember the picture...Sabrina, with Harrison Ford...well it is as romantic as that. watch the big fountains, walk the along the water, and see the Eiffeltower in front. it is one of the most famous settings in Paris. you will find some nice bistro and cafees on the top of the place.

Trocadero gardens illustrate precisely what I love so much about French landscaping. Everything is so well maintained and contained, manicured and organized. It's beautiful at night when the fountains light up!

In the gardens it is tough to find an intimate spot, it's not for that, it's a place of large movements. When the jets of the fountain are springing up and falling back down, it makes you still. When the canons went off it was spectacular. There are golden-colored sculptures from Paul Jouve (the bull and the deer) and Georges Guyot (the horse and the dog) that are quite expressive. From the parvis behind, which is more elevated, looking at the tower, in the distance, it feels like it was sitting right on your desk. Of course, it a great moment for a romantic embrace.
