Tiny store in a basement that sells one of the best cookies I have ever tried. The tough choice is to pick some of them (they all look delicious): the peanut butter and chocolate chips with walnut ones are to die for. They are BIG, so share with a friend or they will last several days (I've tried them after ...

I'm used to the wide expanse of other Fairway's (like Red Hook) so this place felt very claustrophobic.

While every area in Central Park is worth seeing, and a great place for the kids to run around, there is just something extra special about Strawberry Fields. You should go see The Met, even if you can't/don't want to see a show here. I was in the crowd for Un Ballo In Maschera, which was a little too modern/abstract for my tastes. The Met itself, however, is just a beautiful theatre. I really enjoyed all of the Jetsons-esque chandeliers.

I really enjoy this area of Central Park. I love the architectural details and stonework surrounding the fountain. It's a good place to wander over to, if you're in that area of Central Park, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to see it.

A tasteful, beautiful memorial that makes a statement subtle enough for John Lennon's taste and yet profound enough to honor his memory. I love that every single time I've visited, something has adorned the "Imagine": candles, flower petals, even artwork from fans.

The first U.S. outpost for the Parisian purveyors of the world's most luxurious macaroons - or what the NY Times rather wittily described as the 'anti-cup cake'. For all those places in NY riding the crest of this latest foodie fad, be aware that Ladurée lay claim to having invented the macaroon in 1862. There are a dozen flavours to ...

Beautiful music in an historic setting. Sit orchestra or tier 1 for best mix of sound, first 5 rows seem exclusive but they're the cheaper seats as sound doesn't have a chance to reverberate and blend together so close to the orchestra. House left for piano pieces lets you see the keyboard. Tonight's Alan Gilbert conducting Brahms Piano Concerto No. ...

This is a huge tourist attraction and its pretty expensive but it's such a good time that it makes it okay. Each room/level is themed so specific figures occupy specific space. They are quite good with making it interactive, having different figures posing different ways. They are made quite realistically, some of them its obvious they are wax but overall ...
