An infamy which doesn't match up to the reality. Four of us arrived here with reservations and only one room could be found. Super stroppy receptionist too. The two of us who did get offered the room here went up to look at it and decided to check in somewhere else. Luxurious it may be, but it was tiny. Won't be going back.
I stay at this hotel every year for my birthday - it's fantastic. It's cozy, very boutiquey and I love it. It isn't the most authentically 'french' hotel, as there are a lot of Brits who stay here (it's owner is a Brit hotel chain), but I overlook that because the staff is always very helpful, the foot delish and the rooms, while certainly small, are extremely well-appointed and luxurious. I've stayed in the penthouse which is gorgeous and in smaller rooms on lower floors and loved each. The best part is the private pool in the cellar, which you can reserve for an hour and swim and steam in peace.
This is one of those hotels that is just a dream! Decorated in a dizzing yet Parisian splendor, you will find yourself in a Parisian state of mind.
Walking out there is everything out right by your footsteps, from the cutest cafes, to Saint Germain right there
The hotel has an amazing restaurant, and pool... though I never did go to the pool... why would I when I am in Paris!
One of the most famous and lovely boutique hotels, with each room being dedicated to a style period. On the walls you find pictures of the famous people who have stayed in that room, and from the looks of it there are few of the famed who have not stayed there. Located in the heart of the Quartier Latin, a few hundred meters from the Boulevard St. Germain with all its lovely restaurants and famous bistros. I had to book this three months in advance, and it's not cheap -- so be warned!!

This is a very nice boutiqu-ish hotel in the heart of Saint Germain des prés. Good scene yet intimate. Every room has a different theme. It's kind of famous because this is where Oscar Wilde died. There is indeed a room named after him. The "Mistinguett" art deco bedromm (# 36) is my favorite. It is located at 36 rue des beaux arts.
