After an early hike, I stopped here looking for something to snack on before lunch. This is a very small shop that sells manapuas, noodles, and steamed pastries. I wasn't sure what a manapua was and quickly learn that it's a pork pastry. They look very similar to a pork steam bun. I wasn't sure what to order and so my friend suggested to try the pork manapua, chicken manapua, pork hash, and the halfmoon. All were very delicious and easy to eat when you are on the go or want a small snack. The shop is very small and we stood in a long line, but it moved fast. Make sure you are ready to order when you get to the front of the line and bring cash as they do not accept cards.Recommended for:

If you’re in Kalihi, another favorite of mine is Libby Manapua Shop. Similar to dim sum, but more of a local flavor, manapua is very much like a bbq pork bao. My favorites are the pork manapua, pork hash, and halfmoons. This is another place that is takeout only AND they have their own parking lot. Pick up some manapua and head for the park.Recommended for:
