Beautiful hotel and great location! The hotel was walking distance to the Plaza del Armas and other popular tourist sites. Upon check-in, we were treated to an upgraded room thanks to our Starwood Gold status. The suite was huge! We enjoyed the comfy bed and had a good night's sleep before a long day of travel.
Most memorable was our massage appointment at Palacio del Inka Spa, the in-house spa. We loved the therapy pool circuit, the eucalyptus steam room with color changing LED ceiling lights, the heated chaise lounge chairs in the relaxation room, and of course, the couples hot stone massage held in a private room. It was one of the best spas we had ever experienced. Customer service and amenities were top notch inside the spa.
One less star because we had requested airport transportation prior to our arrival at the hotel and the hotel concierge did not have any record of this request. We were very disappointed with the whole situation that ensued. The hotel was able to arrange transportation last minute the night before. However, the next morning, we waited for a phone call (as instructed by the front desk) to be told the taxi/shuttle was ready and never received it. Waiting a few moments past the arranged pick-up time, we went downstairs to check out and found that the car was waiting for us already. Needless to say, we were very confused and frustrated by the situation, but at least we made it the airport in good time to make our scheduled flight.
Despite the airport transportation hiccup, we enjoyed this hotel and recommend it.Recommended for:

Not nice enough to justify the price point. Very basic rooms. Little atmosphere. Check out at 9:00 a.m.!
Staff are friendly and the Libertador is cheaper than Monasterio but I'd opt to ante up for Monasterio or trade down to a local Inn that is cheaper with more atmosphere.Recommended for:

I was with a tour group and found my stay a great experience. Staff was wonderful and food delicious. The breakfast buffet was fantastic!!! My room was extremely clean and beautiful. They were very helpful as when we went on our trek to Machu Picchu, they kept some of our things safe and sound until we got back. They also called our cab when we went to see some ruins outside of town, and had us remain in the lobby until the driver arrived. Very careful of visitors safety.
