This family restaurant (unofficial tavern) is a nice restaurant to give you a break from the mostly fast food style restaurants available throughout the parks. Reservations are suggested and the time to sit back and take a chunk of your day to relax....Have a late lunch and get out of the heat.

Dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern are now a MUST for every future trip to WDW! This was our first time dining here, and we absolutely loved everything about it.

The atmosphere and theme are near colonial perfection, and there's such a great patriotic feeling in this restaurant.

We arrived early for our ADR and had just a five minute wait until we were seated.

    Try the Pomegranate Lemonade!

This meal is served family style starting with a lovely mixed salad. What follows is a veritable smorgasbord of home-style comfort foods fit for a holiday feast: a platter of meat (Roasted turkey breast, carved beef, and sliced pork -although we requested no pork and were given extra of the others), mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, green beans, roasted root veggies, and classic stuffing.

Dessert! Please save a little room for the Johnny Appleseed Cakes with ice cream. It's the perfect end to this incredible family meal!

One extra tip: if you love the Liberty Tree Tavern mugs that your drinks are served in, you can purchase them for $5 each. Ask your waitress/waiter to add it to your bill and pick them up on your way out the door. It's a great inexpensive souvenir!

The pot roast is delicious here. Very large portions and one of the better spots to eat at Magic Kingdom. Definitely need to make a reservation

Only for Magic Kingdom veterans, because it can take a while to eat here. Reserve early and keep your party into manageable groups. Great dining experience especially for the older (teens+) members of your gang. Some of the best food in the Magic Kingdom, but sadly no alcoholic beverages.

Our family dines at Liberty Tree Tavern every time we're at Walt Disney World. It's located at Magic Kingdom. Reservations strongly suggested.

Good 'ole comfort food in the center of the madness & heat that sometimes describes Walt Disney World. Oven-roasted meats, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac & cheese. Great salads, too.

While not a fan of all-you-can-eat restaurants, this is a great alternative to the Crystal Palace. The food is served family-style with American fare all the way. The food is plentiful and fattening. A part of me wonders if foreign tourists see this place as a celebration of decadence. Reservations are most certainly required.
