Lots of good stuff to eat here, though the prices are a bit high for the portions. I love the tri-tip sandwich (southern style--the cole slaw is good!) and the mac and cheese. The sweet potato fries are also tasty (though way on the sweet side, so be sure you're prepared for that), as are the hush puppies.
They've got an interesting cocktail menu full of house-made moonshine and whiskey. Unfortunately, I'm not crazy about those, so my apple pie cocktail didn't go down too easy, but my friend loved her Manhattan.
If you're wandering around Wicker Park one afternoon, be sure to stop in for lunch!

This review was hard for me to write, simply because *wait for it* I hate barbecue.
So, why do I go to a barbecue place you ask? My boyfriend loves it. I also happen to like a good Bloody Mary and fried pickles, so I agreed to try it out. Not to mention, we just moved to the area, so we figured we needed to start getting familiar with these places.
The atmosphere is cool. I wished it would've been warmer so we could've sat outside, because it looked charming. They were playing Southern Rock, lots of Lynyrd and even Focus "Hocus Pocus" which I wasn't expecting. A+ for me as far as interiors go.
Drinks & Apps:
Awesome! My boyfriend got some moonshine and it was delish. My bloody also came with jerky and was made with moonshine (in a mason jar, mind you) it was definitely great. The only thing I would've liked is if there were more veggies in there, I'm not a big meat fan (again, wtf am I doing here?).
Oh yeah... the fried pickles.
Those were bomb. They were hot and totally burnt the crap out of my mouth but it was worth it.
I for some reason thought I would have room in my stomach for pulled chicken and fries and I already knew that was a bad decision as soon as the pickles game out. The chicken was good though, and to my surprise I actually tried all the BBQ sauces and ended up loooooving the Carolina Gold and the other super vinegary one. It was nice because it wasn't what I thought of when "BBQ" comes to mind. My boyfriend on the other hand really loved the Smoky more classic sauce and the regular Carolina sauce. He loved his pulled pork sandwich too. I think we will be back, but next time my order will be much smaller!
