Lots of good stuff to eat here, though the prices are a bit high for the portions. I love the tri-tip sandwich (southern style--the cole slaw is good!) and the mac and cheese. The sweet potato fries are also tasty (though way on the sweet side, so be sure you're prepared for that), as are the hush puppies. They've got ...

    Blue Man Group Show

    2.36 mi from Lillie's Q

This show is absolutely stunning. This is the 2nd time I've seen blue man group - the first time in Vegas and I think the Chicago show was even better! Sat in the poncho section (about the 3rd row) didn't get any paint on my - kind of wish I had, but it still made it really exciting to be ...

Spectacular botanical garden. It is one of the largest in the US, and is almost 150 years old. It is a great place to go in the winter, when you need a reminder that spring will eventually return

Macy's on State Street is the second largest department store in the world, so it's definitely a destination you wanna check out even just to say you've been there. The 5th floor ceiling is covered with 1.6 million pieces of Tiffany glass. We discovered it from our guide on a trolley tour. It has the standard Macy's products and brands, ...

See lots of old movies, independent films, and unique experiences in this theater in the heart of a trendy neighborhood. The main auditorium is an old music hall, complete with working organ and stage. It's not that comfortable, but the experience is worth it.

This is how Alinea would do cocktails. The third project by Grant Achatz & Nick Kokonas, this is a "bar" without the bar. All your cocktails are prepared on a line in a kitchen the way your food would be, and they would most likely be a molecular homage to some of the classic cocktails. The drinks are great and ...

Great architecture and one of the most beautiful public libraries I have visited. Take a look from the outside and download what you need to your Kindle. Worth seeing as part of an architectural tour, but the inside is of little interest to visitors.

    Belmont Harbor

I used to sail regularly from this harbor. Convenient location, nice surroundings. Probably the worst thing about it is the somewhat tricky access into the harbor. Watch out for errant park visitors who can sometimes be very careless with their personal safety! They look at their frisbees, their tennis balls, everywhere except at the road and traffic.

I went to City Winery for a show last night and was blown away by the place. The seats we got were right next to the stage but the price wasn't any more expensive. The wine was good, but the biggest surprise was the food quality. In a city with great food this place definitely competes! I will definitely be ...
