Hotels for Backpackers in Lima

The arrival of this 'arts boutique' hotel opened in 2013 and occupying a gleaming white European-style mansion is the latest development in the gentrification of the surrounding Barranco neighbourhood. Its 17-rooms are generously proportioned and tastefully decorated with period furnishings and hand-picked contemporary works of art from the next door gallery. There's a relaxing central courtyard, separating the original building ...Popular with

Nice, clean, modern, reasonably priced, hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and most speak English quite well. Taxi drivers don't know it right away but the address is on your room key so show them that and they'll get you there.

When originally booking this hotel we thought it was downtown Lima only to find out it's not in the center. You'll still have to cab to all of the shopping and activities in the city. But the neighborhood is relatively safe although there isn't much to walk to. The hotel itself is nice and the service is excellent.Popular with

The hotel is clean and comfortable. It reminds me of a 90's Marriott. All the amenities you would expect. While in a busy area there isn't too much walking distance but there is a Starbucks a block away.

This hotel is in the Miraflores district of Lima. It is nice and the rooms were clean. The staff was friendly enough, but the service wasn't outstanding. They have a bar/lounge that is open 24 hours, although when we got in around 10pm it took a little bit of hunting to find a bartender. The breakfast buffet in the morning ...

This was my go-to hotel for myself and for visitors for many years because it had all the convenience of being in downtown Miraflores (it's a couple blocks from Parque Kennedy) without the exorbitant cost. The price over the last couple of years has begun to creep up - as though they realized they could charge more for the excellent ...Popular with

Comfortable hotel in the heart of Lima's hip Miraflores district. The hotel itself is decent and spacious, but lacking in luxury amenities. Also, while it is very clean, the decor is kind of basic - not bad or ugly, just not giving off a lot of character or wow factor. Great location in Lima to be in a fine place ...Popular with

This was a North American standard hotel similar to a Holiday Inn. It was in a pretty boring area of Miraflores. We did find a nice restaurant down the street to have dinner.

We used our ThankYou Network points to obtain a room at Casa Bella for 2 nights, so I am unsure about the value in terms of real money. The first night, we arrived at past midnight and they were kind enough to let us check in in the morning. The room was huge! Had a walk in closet, nice bath ...

It was okay. Wouldn't recommend staying in San Isidro if you are on vacation. The area is too sterile, kind of feels like Sacramento or Singapore. The hotel itself is very clean and nice but pricey and doesn't offer much else. Breakfast buffet was decent.

One of several Flying Dog places in the neighborhood, this incarnation is just okay; the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas could use a little tender loving care and a sprucing up. There are nicer lodging choices around, but for a cheap place to rest your head for a night, this place will do. What really endeared me to this place ...Popular with

This hotel is also in the Miraflores of Lima. It is the middle tier of the Casa Andinas. The location is good, and the hotel is clean. They have a bar and a buffet breakfast as well. Also they have luggage storage (which most of the area hotels do) which comes in handy for the early checkouts and late night ...

Casa Andina is just an ok hotel Good if you're going to be out all day and just come back for a shower and a bed. Our room was a little bit dirty, even though the linens and towels were super clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is alright but if you come down about an hour before it's ...

Lo único bueno de este hostel es la ubicación, a 3 cuadras del Océano Pacífico...la habitación estaba sucia (con hormigas incluídas), y la atención de la chica que estaba a la noche en la recepción era pésima!Popular with
