    Roscoe's

3.59 mi from Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn
    4 reviews

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and servings I got at Roscoe's. It has the appearance of a dive bar yet serves an eclectic assortment of Cajun, southern food, and sushi. Not only that, but Roscoe's sushi choices are surprisingly affordable particularly in their style, cut, and quality.

    Darcelle XV

1.34 mi from Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn
    3 reviews

Portland's quintessential drag queen bar, Darcelle's is a lot of fun. The performers here put a great amount of effort into their outfits and their shows, and many throw in a lot of comedy for good measure. It's not a strip-club at all. It's more of a cabaret with free-flowing booze.

    Townshend's Alberta Street Teahouse

1.65 mi from Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn
    3 reviews

Townshend's is a teahouse and is unique in coffee-obsessed Portland. Tea connoisseurs will appreciate the options which abound at Townshend's. They even serve bubble tea, but I would avoid it. I asked for red bean bubble tea and it resembled tapioca filled with pepto bismol.

Nice spot out in the Northeast part of the city! Here you will find a Trader Joe's and the Panera Cares non-profit community cafe plus several nice restaurants. Easy to get to because it is off of several main roads including Broadway and Sandy and it's also right off of the MAX line at 42nd avenue.

The Multnomah County Library system was started in 1864 and consists of 19 locations. It is the largest library system in Oregon and ranks first among libraries serving fewer than one million residents. In this respect, it is the busiest in the nation. The Central Library in downtown Portland serves as the main branch of the System. The Building was ...

Made in Oregon is one of those places you go to buy last minute gifts for friends and family because you were either too busy, picky, or lazy when you had the chance in Town. However, PDX gives you a little more choice as there's a Powell's across the Hall, a Pendleton next door, and some nice shops on the ...

I haven't been to one of there events but during the day it appears to be a good place to work or have a meeting because the space is so large there are usually seating options even when they are busy.

1.72 mi from Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn

Reading Frenzy is a cute little store that features books, poems, zines, calenders, stationary, cards, and other independent press stuff. They even carried the very cool "Year of the Ox" wall calendar by Garrett Izumi that I had previously purchased from this Portland-based artist (via mail order). Reading Frenzy is only a block or so down the street from Powell's ...

Bushwhacker Cider lies off of a little side street in Southeast Portland after you cross the Ross Island Bridge. It's a bar that serves all things related to cider, whether it's pear cider, apple cider, etc. I personally recommend getting the pear cider.
