Pok Pok has grown out of a couple of old houses converted into a restaurant on an unassuming neighborhood street in Portland, and has gained notoriety around the country! Just this year alone, it is mentioned on these lists: - Willamette Week 2010 Best Restaurants - Portland Monthly 2010 Best Restaurants: The Icons - Washington Post Postcard from Tom: Portland's ...

Wow. Gayle and I had a long and busy day on a previous trip. After our delayed arrival into PDX, we went straight into a 2+ hour parents meeting, and then in a borrowed car did a poor job of navigating Portland traffic and finding our Downtown hotel. And with a minimal breakfast and no lunch, we were a pretty ...

The best Indian buffet I've had in both quantity and quality. I especially liked the Tandoori Chicken. There was a mind-boggling variety of chicken dishes, as well as several vegeatarian dishes, salad, desserts, curries, saag panner, naan, rice, fried appetizers, sauces and many more I didn't have the room to try. An incredible deal.

    30 reviews

Portland has always had food carts, especially in its downtown area, but these days there are hundreds of these little pop-up restaurants all over town. There's a huge amount of variety, with food carts serving everything from deep-fried pies to Korean-Mexican fusion fare. They're often located in "pods," which are usually old parking lots with central seating areas and an ...

Gayle and I had breakfast here one late Saturday morning. There was a 30 minute wait, but we thought that Mother's staff handled the crowd and the turnover in a very friendly and efficient manner. And unlike some "long wait list" restaurants, staff here all seemed to truly appreciate our business. We were seated at a nice table near the ...

OMG ...please go. The breakfast biscuits are on par with Austin's breakfast tacos. We were up there for a weekend to try new foods, I loved the biscuits so much I had to go back on the second day to have an encore. Warm hearty meals that make you feel better for the dreary wet weather.

    Le Bistro Montage

1.41 mi from Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn

The Montage, under the east side of the Morrison Bridge, is a ate-night Portland institution known for it's mac and cheese and cajun concoctions. The best thing about this place is that they'll wrap your leftovers up in tin foil shapes (usually roses and swans--sometimes they get more creative with their creations).

2.05 mi from Lion and the Rose Victorian B&B Inn

This review is only for the street-side cafe on Hawthorne. It was time for lunch and considering my love of micro-brew (IPA, Porter, and Stout especially), there are just too many choices here in the City of Roses. I considered Nick's, but all the older guys (like me) who were sitting quietly in their booths, reminded me too much of ...
