Le Pigeon's sister restaurant did not disappoint one bit!

Fantastic late night dining experience in downtown Portland! Late night happy hour is the way to go! :) Super easy to get to since we were staying at one of the many hotels in the area. We walked in and found seats at the bar, though perhaps in the future, calling ahead or making a reservation might be a good idea.

The food was great, and the staff was friendly. We will definitely come back here in the future!

Also a good spot for Californians to get their foie fix!

I had an early dinner here at Little Bird during a recent solo business trip to the Rose City. I sat at the handsome copper top bar and enjoyed a Le Pigeon Burger (with wine), while I watched this French Bistro world around me. From my front corner position, I had a direct view into the kitchen, the hungry folks coming in, the dining room, and of course the folks sitting and standing behind me. It was all very fun and fascinating.

It takes an excellent restaurant to make a great burger (with salad and frites) and Little Bird really really came through (including the wine pairings). Best of all, I loved the energy of this place, and especially some of the learned wine conversation that was going on at the bar. I also had the feeling that everyone on both sides of the counter knew each other, and that I was really part of a casual dinner party. The space is also sexy and just the place for a romantic European dinner with Gayle.

Owned by the chef of Le Pigeon---like a small French Bistro, very meat-centric, and very very good.

Gabriel Rucker's second Portland restaurant is amazing. Local wine, simple but flavorful dishes, and friendly servers. If the Little Bird Bistro was in my neighborhood, I would be a regular.

Excellent French bistro. Newer restaurant by the same people from Le Pigeon. If the Onion Gratinee is on the menu, order it.
