This is an amazing Farmer's Market to visit! It's located in gorgeous Little Italy, a short drive from downtown or walk to the bay front. There are a number of food vendors but you're also surrounded by wonderful restaurants. Parking can be tough but be patient!

I love the feel of this farmer's market, everyone is so pleasant and the sun is always shining! Local produce, flowers, and many entrepreneurs doing their thing! You'll have a lot of fun sampling and trying some new items! It's great to learn what's in season and eat fresh foods!

Next to the Ocean Beach Farmer's Market on Wednesday evenings, our personal family favorite. Organic foods, diverse foods from many cultures, artisanal offerings. Winner!

Two blocks down the street every Saturday, 9:00 - 2:00. Great produce and more, also live music, you will want to see this!

Amazing market for local produce, meats, and food products! As a Chicagoan, what impressed me was my ability to eat cherimoyas and longan fruit in the middle of December. Even more impressive were the fresh sea urchins that you can eat on the spot - so fresh they are wiggling while you eat! Go here to remind yourself of how good San Diego has it.

I have found my new Saturday morning routine. Seriously. This farmer's market in Little Italy is the most impressive market I have seen in a long time: with four whole blocks of stalls and stands dedicated to promoting local, homegrown, homemade, and handcrafted goods, it is always downright packed with people. From fruits and vegetables to trinkets and toys, meats and cheeses to pastas and baked goods, flowers and plants to fresh squeezed juices and homemade sauces or dips, there is something for everyone. I strolled around getting sunburned and drooling on myself, trying to decide which basket of ripe, plump, burst-in-your-mouth strawberries I wanted, which divine cheese I would buy, and which homemade, gluten-free goody I would savor (I chose a chocolate almond toffee bar). You can sample the wares at most stalls, but bring plenty of cash - most vendors don't take plastic. Get here early (the market is every Saturday from 9am to 1:30), park nearby, and blow your pocket cash before the sun gets too hot and the people swarm too thick.

Little Italy is a great place to explore and walk through the shops. There area also plenty of great restaurants. During Farmer's Market, it is even better as you have plenty of street vendors to meet and taste their specialties.

The Little Italy Farmer's Market is held every Saturday on Date Street in the historic Little Italy section of San Diego.

This is held on Saturdays and I LOVE it! Along with produce, there are several other food vendors. I like the lady who sells fancy popsicles. You can find crafts and jewelry here, too.

Can't say enough about how fun the farmers market is in Little Italy, with so many different food and crafts options, its hours of entertainment. you can get things from fresh pasta to live Uni. And of course an assortment of fresh produce. If you do end up missing this on Saturday, fear not, many of the same vendors can be found in the neighboring borro of Hillcrest on Sunday.

The moment I entered the Little Italy farmer's market is the moment I fell head over heels in love with San Diego. I cannot emphasize enough how much I LOVE this market! It's my favorite way to pass a Saturday morning- walking up and down the street sampling the delicious, local culinary creations for sale from organic chocolates and fresh squeezed green juices to raw, sprouted hummus and garlic spreads and homemade granolas. I love that you can try before you buy, and you'll wish you had a wad of hundreds that you can spend on all the incredible, fresh produce and yummy goodies surrounding you. Add on top of that the live music, hand made jewelry and art, fresh flowers and food trucks and you too will fall in love with this market and San Diego.

The Mercado is like a fun street fair that goes on every Saturday. Often there is live music on each corner, and stalls with fruits, veggies, prepared foods, and handcrafts. A lovely way to spend a Saturday morning in Little Italy!

Enjoy the Little Italy district on a sunny day at their enjoyable Saturday afternoon farmer's market. It is more of the experience that is valuable than an opportunity to purchase your weekly food as it can be a bit pricey, but wander and sample your little heart out as the options are vast.
