The Living Room is located on Prospect street offers a different environment than most coffee shops in La Jolla. It offers a darker and more cozy atmosphere inside. They have coffee and a wide range of foods. I was recommend the turkish baklava for a snack and loved it. I come here for the wifi and the atmosphere

This is a little gem of a coffee shop in La Jolla. Although you enter off La Jolla's busiest street, Prospect Street, the back of the coffee shop has a spectacular view overlooking the coast. This is the least expensive and best way to kick back, relax, and take in the amazing scenery that La Jolla is known for.

Drinks: Irish Coffee (Baileys and Jameson!)
Living Room Coffee may be most known for it's awesome location in Downtown La Jolla by the shore, but I discovered that there was much more to this place. On the other hand of these other reviews, I received exceptional service. Upon entry I looked right, then looked left and saw an expresso machine and a bar, so to me that equaled Irish Whiskey. The cashier was a bit befuzzled, but the barista screamed out "I can make that," to my joy. With some small talk, I tested out to see if I would sense a bit of this unfriendliness that others reported, but felt all the friendliness back. Before I bump this up to a 5 star, I would have to try the other drinks and the dessert, which looked pretty promising. See ya when I visit my alma mater again, Living Room Coffee.

Really more like a 2 star spot for me. It gets a three because I don't want to punish them for not being everything that I would want a hookah lounge to be. Service was awful and the food we had was bad. Seemed liked a younger crowd and then we left after they started to blast the music really loud. Good location though.
