The LL Bean campus in Freeport is comprised of various buildings (a regular store, an outlet, a home store, and a boating/kayaking store) and offers probably every outdoorsy item you could ever want, from seersucker shirts to archery equipment. It's certainly quite a sight (and the 1912 Cafe in the largest main store is actually a pretty good lunch spot), but the deals are not particularly good compared to Freeport's many other outlet stores. Stroll through just to see it, but unless you desperately need a monogrammed backpack, save your shopping for other stores where the deals are better and the lines are shorter.Recommended for

Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, this massive complex sprawls across many buildings. L.L. Bean has everything, and you can usually find some great deals here. That's if you can tolerate the crowd. Avoid on rainy summer days and holiday weekends.

Absolutely massive L.L. Bean "campus" store. Sprawls across multiple buildings but centers on one main store which carries most of what they have. They offer free shipping in the U.S. No need to worry about buying more than you can carry back!
