Although I haven't stayed here, I recently wrote about this hotel for the Los Angeles Times in a roundup of hotels that had previous lives. The Back Bay served as Boston Police Headquarters 1925 to 1997. The 225-room hotel opened in 2004. If you're looking for a little something to help you wrap up something special, send a message or jazz up your stationary set; look no further. I love the wonderful selection of cards, wrapping paper, stamps and more. I was a little disappointed by the selection of pens though. I was hoping for more calligraphy ones.

The rich history of Boston creates an urban aura of deeply rooted pride in native Bostonians as well as the city's visiting tourists. These gardens are sanctuaries in the midst of the surrounding buzz of city chaos. Truly a beautiful, serene spot to go to either with company or on your own. A wonderful spot to reflect and turn inwards, ...

I'll admit it. I didn't actually step foot in the Boston Public Library before I was forced into its depths on Election Day. But once I was finally inspired to explore it, I was amazed by what I saw. The architecture alone--the high ceilings, romanesque pillars and giant windows--really make you feel like you're in a sacred place. And you ...

Anyone with a pulse who was alive during the 80's and 90's remembers Cheers. And if you are a first time visitor to Boston, you would without question insist on heading to the "bar" made famous in this iconic sitcom. The layout is nothing like the TV show, which is kind of dissapointing but in reality you cannot hold it ...
