Just awesome! We were driving down this famous sight with our rental car and it was so much fun! It's also worth walking down (or up) :)

It's definitely unique. If you can ride shotgun, that's the best way to enjoy all the hairpin turns.

It's a street! Ok it's a super crooked street and maybe the world's crookedest street (still not verified I don't think) but it's still a street. Hint: If you want a good picture of this street without all the people in it, wait till the sun goes down and everybody will leave.

If you are in San Francisco you need to drive down Lombard Street. It's pretty cool and is a big hit with kids. I've always been too chicken to drive down it myself so I'm always in the passenger seat squealing the whole way down. There's always lots of traffic on the street so you won't be going fast, so don't worry. There are some decent views but the thrill of cruising down this super crooked street ranks in with a thrill factor of about 3 out of 5 stars.

My running group sometimes runs straight down Lombard (the crooked part), and it's so much fun! Especially at night when the tourists are gone and we have the street to ourselves.

After Golden Gate, this is my 2nd best thing to do at SFO. This curly street is great, really fun for passing by with a car, and take pictures. Dont have a car? dont worry, exercise your legs with the stairs if you dare!

One of the most famous streets in the world. I would have loved to drive down this but never had the opportunity.

Description:

This twisty stretch of Lombard Street features eight turns along one block. The acute angles make it very slow going if you are in a car. Ironically, it was originally designed this way in 1922 to make it easier for cars to negotiate the steep hill.
