One of the must see spots in SF, this unique curvy street is a spectacle to see! If you want a good workout, hike from the bottom and go up. From there, you can go towards Alcatraz for some photo ops and then walk to Fishermans wharf for some chowder and seafood!!!

After Golden Gate, this is my 2nd best thing to do at SFO. This curly street is great, really fun for passing by with a car, and take pictures. Dont have a car? dont worry, exercise your legs with the stairs if you dare!

Lombard Street is best known for the one-way section on Russian Hill between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets, in which the roadway has eight sharp turns (or switchbacks) that have earned the street the distinction of being the crookedest [most winding] street in the world

One of the most famous streets in the world. Definitely park your car at the top and get some photos before winding your way down the curves, and get some more pics from the bottom.

Yes, it's cheesy that you're waiting in traffic to drive down a street, but it's a hella famous street and it's one of those things you have to say you went to SF and did. The snaking road at the top of Lombard St. has always been one of the spots that you hear about in guide books, so whether you're actually driving it or you decide to hoof it, make sure you at least go by.

Ever wonder where that crazy curvy road on top of the hill in San Francisco was called? It's called Lombard Street; it's brick paved and beautifully decorated with flowers.
After we snapped our photos and drove down hill, we saw the crazy car pileup just to drive down Lombard Street! I would be afraid to be in the line because it's a steep incline for several blocks.
It's worth seeing, but probably not worth waiting to drive down!

One of the most iconic streets in the world, Lombard Street is a dizzying civil engineering feat. Truly spectacular at night or during the day, visit with a camera because you won't want to miss a beat.

I like seeing Lombard Street after hopping off the Cable Car, taking in the amazing Bay view, and then walking down. I'll admire the architecture and the flowers, and watch the tourists. Then I'll either continue onward or climb back up.
If I'm driving, you'll find me over at Vermont Street on Portrero Hill. That's the other crooked street and I have a great time scaring the crap out of my out-of-town guests as we go around the block a few times.

A must visit for anyone going to San Francisco. At the very bottom of the hills is where everyone gathers for the photo op. when facing the hill (from the bottom), look to your right - Alcatraz. If you can manage, get into the center of the street and snap a quick picture. The view is very nice!

What a fun little spot to stop off at while visiting San Fran. Take a cable car there, I think it's the Powell line that runs right along the top or drive and park somewhere near by, or drive down it :) that's always fun too. We visit Lombard every time we are in town because... it's just a fun little stop, get in a quick climb up and down the street, snap a few pics, take in the views and be on your merry little way. We love it!
