    The Ritz London

    Hotel Class:

Afternoon Tea at the Ritz is exquisite. The Ritz staff are very attentive. The sandwiches are lovely and they keep on coming out with more. The freshly baked scones with cream and jam are the highlight but leave enough room for the pastries and the cake trolley that comes round with more delights. Getting dressed up smart and spending the ...

The room was smaller than an American hotel room, but was nicely decorated. The air conditioning was not very effective in cooling the room, but perhaps it is better now. It is a great location in Mayfair off the Park Lane.

The Langham does luxury extremely well with professional, personable service and elegant, sumptuous interiors. The standard double rooms aren't large, but any extra space you may need can be found in the spa, which is Asian themed and lavender scented. The executive suites come with access to a private lounge with very English tea sandwiches available for refreshment.

The W is great - right on the square, has a great bar perfect for meetings (quite early doors for breakfast meetings or more buzzy in the evenings). The Spice Market is also a great restaurant - try the salmon starter - delicious!

Tucked into a Bloomsbury townhouse, the Academy Hotel does the British literary vibe to a tee. Fireplaces and striped wallpaper distinguish the 49 rooms, while the small size means personalized service. This is also a great location for exploring Soho and Bloomsbury.

    The Stafford Hotel

    Hotel Class:

The Stafford Hotel is at the higher end of London hotels. However, it has a special charm, with some of the rooms surrounding a courtyard, with their original stable doors. They have an amazing wine cellar, where WWII soldiers hid out amongst the bottles (I got to attend a tasting and tour during the April 2010 volcano travel disruption). Service ...
