    The Ritz London

    Hotel Class:
    4.5

the original English Afternoon tea. If you have heard of the saying "putting on the Ritz" this is the place they refer to. London's original high tea. Theres a 1920s feel to this hotel, located right on Piccadilly. If you stay at this hotel, sneak out for a meal at the Wolesely - close by, its a wonderful restaurant nearby.

I have stayed here a few times and really like it. The public spaces are lovely and, unlike many Schrager properties, the rooms and staff are nice too. The in-house bar draws a good crowd. Probably not as hip as it used to be but certainly worth a visit. I don't recommend Asia de Cuba.

Pretty bloody cool hotel. Hip and trendy (i say that at the risk of sounding neither). A few years ago no one would venture in to Hoxton but it is now quite the place to be' The area is filled with bars and pubs that this hotel fits right in with its modern look and feel. Perfect for the younger ...

First, an historical footnote. When I was little, every now and then there'd be an emergency dash from the rugby field to the casualty department here when this was one of central London's main hospitals. Thankfully, I escaped with nothing more serious than stitches and some mild concussion each time. So it was all the odder to step through the ...

    Hilton London Heathrow Airport

    Hotel Class:

Very modern and conveniently located next to T4 (connected by a walkway). Rooms are small and the service is a bit disorganized (good luck getting a refill on your coffee at breakfast); however, the pricing isn't too egregious by London standards and this is a good option if you have an early flight or need a location for a fly ...

    The Stafford Hotel

Great service and classic elegance never go out of style and the Stafford has both in spades. When I was at the Stafford in September, I was struck by the subtle yet powerful improvements the hotel has made to itself in recent years. I was expecting the hotel to feel and look more modern, but it looked like the Stafford ...
