    The Royal Automobile Club

    The Royal Automobile Club

    4
    5 reviews

An interesting blend of members' club and hotel, the Royal Automobile Club feels like walking into the old school establishment, yet also has some jaw-dropping touched like the car in the middle of the lobby. Understatedly elegant in the manner of its century-old tradition, the RAC is definitely one of London's less obvious, but more than adequate, places to stay. ...

    The Ampersand Hotel

Excellent! - 92% of guests recommend

This is a very friendly and comfortable boutique hotel, right in South Kensington. Prices are very reasonable, at least for now and the hotel is only about a year old, so everything seems quite clean and new. Despite the fact that my room overlooks a busy street, I have slept incredibly well here, thanks to the incredibly comfortable bed. The ...

    The Hempel Hotel

    Class:

Very Good! - 80% of guests recommend

This hotel really hits the nail on the head (for me, anyway) in design. The rooms are big, light and airy, with white sheets, wood floors, and rustic muted green and red touches. I would decorate my house kinda like this. It's small, so the service is personal and attentive, and the vibe is luxury but not stuffy. You do ...

Very Good! - 81% of guests recommend

Pink and purple and fruity are the words which come to mind when I think of Myhotel Chelsea. I love how small it is (just 40 rooms) and how spacious the suites are despite its tiny Chelsea location. All in all, a very girly-girl feel. Myhotel Chelsea would be a great place for a slumber party.

This is definitely the best location you could be in. I walked and walked and WALKED when I was in London. Melia White House

    Class:

Very Good! - 82% of guests recommend

The service is sweet, the rooms are decorated classically but with continental style. I quite liked the dark wood bar and the cozy feeling of the rooms, and although I didn't catch the live Spanish guitar, it piqued my interest. The location is pretty convenient if you like to walk or want to go to Regent's Park, although the Great ...

    The Cumberland Hotel

    The Cumberland Hotel

    Class:
    3.5
    7 reviews
Very Good! - 81% of guests recommend

The giant lobby is bedecked with oversized statues of men floating in the air and pod-like seats. Oh, and video installations of more men floating through water. I thought, initially, that this might bode well in the creativity department, but the rooms are small-ish and the whole place actually feels kind of impersonal. The location is ridiculously convenient for touring, ...

    Sanctum Soho Hotel

    Class:

Very Good! - 80% of guests recommend

A funky little hotel in Soho, with a rarity in London, the city that sleeps...a 24 hour bar. The rooms are thought out in extreme detail, from the REN products to the half bottles of wine and jelly beans that greet you on arrival. In the smaller rooms, there is the diplomatically named "New York style wet room" which basically ...

The Royal Garden Hotel is located right on Kensington High Street, perfect if you love shopping. The rooms are spacious and some have spectacular views of Kensington Gardens and raised sitting areas - definitely ask for both, if you can. It's got a modern, luxurious feel and easy peasy location. What more could you ask for?

    Hazlitt's

Excellent! - 89% of guests recommend

The ambience of an gentlemens' club in the heart of Soho at this 30-room hotel spread across three 18th Century houses, taking its name from the William Hazlitt, the essayist who once lived there. Sumptuously decorated and excellent central locations for shopping, theatres and restaurants (though the hotel doesn't have one of its own).

The Park Plaza Victoria is well situated just down the street from Victoria Station in London. It's a good hotel if you want to be fairly central or if you're on business. The staff were friendly, and rooms are about what you'd expect. Beds were doubles, so if you're planning to share, you may want to clarify bed size preference ...

    Thistle Marble Arch Hotel

    Class:

Good! - 78% of guests recommend

The Thistle Marble Arch has an art deco feeling to it, with a coffee bar in the reception area, lots of marble and 1920s fonts. The service is extremely sweet and accommodating, and the rooms are large for central London. What sticks with me about this place is the contrast between its forbidding brick facade and tending towards the opulent ...
