After devouring the most delicious salt beef beigel within 5 minutes, a revelation came to me and in that moment I knew there must be some kind of God and the cold winds became warm and joy went into the hearts of all.

    Hawksmoor Seven Dials

11 Langley Street, London, United Kingdom
    11 reviews

Hawksmoor is one of the best American style steak houses in London with a remarkable English character. A global selection of cocktails with a British twist is featured at the lively bar. A fine bottle Bordeaux along with a juicy 'bone-in-sirloin steak is a popular choice.

    41 Beak Street, London W1F 9SB
    10 reviews

Wandered in here after failing to get seated at The Opera Tavern. Unpretentious, authentic, with signature octopus/calamari to savour. Couldn't tell if the cuisine was meant to be from Lombardy or the Veneto, but either would be credible.

    Dishoom Covent Garden

12 Upper St Martin’s Lane, London WC2H 9FB, United Kingdom
    9 reviews

I've always heard that one of the best places to eat Indian food is in London. I'd have to agree. In a city where many originate from or have traveled India, palates are particular and seasoned to ensure this trendy hotspot earns its full house and reservations-a-must status. Everything is delicious, though served in date-sized portions. You'll still walk away ...

The Breakfast Club - Camden Passage

    31 Camden Passage, London N1 8E, UK

Great American style brunch. Big portions. Greasy. Delicious. Good food. Only downfall is, its a small restaurant, so the wait is usually a little while, but well worth it.

A trendy bar/restaurant with a great vibe by the Harrods store. It serves a Japanese cuisine that is just good. The cocktails are one of the best in London. Reservations recommended.

50 Earlham Street, London WC2H 9LJ, United Kingdom
    12 reviews

An impossible to forget Belgium treat! This restaurant is literally well-regarded for its muscles, fries and beers, though it serves good additional meat, pasta and vegetable dishes. The ambiance is casual, but especially welcoming, particularly the underground space.

    Ping Pong

45 Great Marlborough Street, London W1F 7JL, United Kingdom
    10 reviews

Visited Ping Pong by chance and fell in love with it. The endless train of pots of steamed dishes travelled to our table. When opened they revealed delightful dim sums of many kinds. Loved by the whole family. Atmosphere is great and service good. Friends of ours visited the place later on our recommendation and loved it as well.

    Bar Boulud @ Mandarin Oriental

    66 Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7LA
    10 reviews

Indeed, a greatly innovative fusion of French—English cuisine served on a contemporary fine dining ambiance adjunct to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. All of its terrines, pâtés, hams and saucissons are produced in-house and are delicious. The wine collection is diverse and extensive; the new world wines are selective and moderately priced. The service is memorable.

    Holly Bush

    22 Holly Mount, Hampstead, London NW3 6SG
    7 reviews

The Holly Bush has a really friendly and cozy atmosphere, especially with all the old men in their hats and scarfs at the bar (It was a rainy day). I ate a steak and ale pie and drank a pint of London Pride here. The mustardy mashed potatoes in the pie were absolutely delicious. I'm still trying to recreate the ...

A real treat in the heart of Brixton - this market is filled with a fantastic (and ever-growing) range of delicious independent restaurants, bars, food stalls and unique shopping opportunities. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal

66 Knightsbridge, City of London, Greater London SW3 1, United Kingdom
    7 reviews

Mr. Burrell was searching for a great, typically British restaurant recommendation and this is his top choice. "Why? Because it is not ridiculously expensive and all the recipes are taken from ancient English cook books. He also owns my local pub and the food there is wonderfully good value!"
