Cafe by day - with tasty lunches and lots of people hunched over MacBooks. Hipster Lounge / club by night with fun themed nights and the like. Very Shoreditchy place - lots of weird art and ping pong tables. (Which I love)

If there really are two London's Redchurch Street spans them both from Brick Lane to Shoreditch High Street. A destination in itself Redchurch Street boasts stores like Aesop and A.P.C along with independent galleries and coffee shops. At the head of the street sits Boundary and it's coffee cousin, Albion. Boundary is a hotel and has a lovely roof garden ...

    Baltic

As you emerge from the stunning Richard Rogers designed Southwark tube station Baltic is just over the road, hidden behind huge gates. You can have a vodka in the bar which is tastefully dark and mysterious and then walk into the white, light tranquil restaurant. Not only is the design stunning but, the food is wonderful. Baltic serve, ahem, baltic ...

Classic French restaurant that lives up to its rep. But wine is overpriced and service a bit up itself! Also they really need to do something about the aircon after the room fills up. Got unpleasantly hot towards the end (around 22.30).

My friend's baby shower was held here. We opted for afternoon tea and an activity which was themed for the event. The afternoon tea was okay, some of the breads were interesting, we had a red bread with hummus that we couldn't work out (why was it red? It didn't taste any different). The cakes were nice and the scones ...

In the less-touristed but gorgeous area of Seven Dials near Covent Garden is this tastefully designed Indian/South Asian street food cafe. Come hungry, early if you don't want to wait in line, and with friends; the many small plates are meant to be shared. I don't like daal much, but theirs is remarkably good. 'Naughty' chocolate chai comes with a ...

I love this cafe. I used to frequent it when I was living in London. It is so atmospheric. The ceiling is filled with musical instruments and the walls are adorned with vintage signs and keys. The coffee is nothing to write home about. This place is ambience ambience ambience. Sit here and be inspired to write.

Love the industrial-historic vibe of this neighbourhood spot in Bermondsey. I went here for brunch and loved it. In a cute part of town not far from London Bridge or Borough Market, the surrounding area is perfect for a stroll through shops afterwards. We had the bacon, avocado and chili jam sandwich and the turkey has -- both absolutely delicious.

I was lucky enough to be treated here for lunch a few months ago. It was the most stunning view of London I've ever seen from any restaurant, overlooking the Thames with St Pauls in the distance.
