    The Spaniards Inn

    13 reviews

A favorite pub of ours, located just off Hampstead Heath. This is a perfect pub for a sunny Sunday afternoon sitting in the expansive garden area or inside on a cold winter's night. Even before you enter the pub, you get a sense of the history and lore this place holds. Fun to take kids and loads of folks bring ...

    Ottolenghi - Islington

    14 reviews

After having dined here on a recent trip to London my wife and two children, I am giving this restaurant the highest rating possible. I loved everything about it: local and innovative ingredients; flavorful and healthy small dishes; fun new tastes that even through a Mediterranean lens come out fresh and novel. The atmosphere and service were great too. Interesting ...

    The Wells Tavern

    7 reviews

The best gastro-pub in north london, IMHO. The food is outstanding. Its set on well walk, one of the older streets in a very old part of town - take the little cobblestone lane off the high street just down from the tube. This place is popular, so make reservations.

    Monmouth Coffee Company

Perhaps London's best coffee - they also have a branch in the city centre. Be sure to explore the surrounding Borough Markets.

    The Wolseley

    31 reviews

When you are visiting London, you must at least once go for high tea, and when you do, the Wolseley is one of the best places to do it. This is London at its finest. They serve amazing finger sandwiches (with the crusts cut off - hoorah!) - cakes, scones with clotted cream (one of the tastiest substances known to ...

    Wahaca - Covent Garden

    14 reviews

Mexican food is coming to London, and Wahaca was one of the first exponents. Kids love the simpler options and adults will enjoy the more inventive options. Wahaca is easy, affordable, and great for the whole family.

    Wagamama (Covent Garden)

    4 reviews

When you're trekking around the city en famille, the dependability and affordability of chain restaurants take on a new allure. What a relief that London features some chain restaurants that go a cut above with fresh food that's healthy and not boring. Jen Howze of Britmums recommends Wagamama.

Amaya is best described as high-end Indian fusion food. Traditional north-Indian flavors but prepared with a unique, modern twist and beautifully presented. Great date night spot. One of my favorite restaurants in London!

We love that Mexican, one of the world's great budget foods, has arrived in London. There are many outposts deserving notice, but for our Budget tribe we recommend Taqueria, where the tacos run £5-7, and just half that during Taco hour, from 5p-7p Monday-Thursday.

Tiny plates of sushi go round and round the conveyor belt, their different colors indicating the price. Nab bite after bite until you're full, Yo! Sushi is affordable, quick, and a great place to bring kids who will especially enjoy the rotating food display.

    The River Café

    6 reviews

The prices are high, but the food is so good it’s worth it. I once read somewhere that the best Italian food in Europe can be found at the River Café — meaning even better than Italy itself. I’m sure that made the Italians angry… and perhaps it was a generous compliment, but the food is really that good. The ...

    Pizza Express

    3 reviews

This chain restaurant serves very good quality pizza for about £10. A great place to look out for on a family trip, as there is a Pizza Express in most areas of London and, what kids don't love pizza?
