    Westminster Abbey

    176 reviews

It is always crowded but worth the time in line! We were lucky enough to be there for an organ concert, which was awe inspiring. This was one of the few places in London that actually surpassed my expectations.

    Westminster Cathedral

    14 reviews

Gorgeous and understated, yet looming exterior of one of the lesser known hidden gems of London. Step inside to discover highly ornate chapels and ceilings covered in amazing glistening golden and silver mosaics. Entrance is free and you can climb the tower for a small fee.

    The Life Centre - Islington

The North London branch has a variety of yoga classes and a great introductory deal for first-time students. The Life Centre is definitely one of London's most respected studios - this is the real thing.

A peaceful space in London. Grab a picnic from one of the shops at Holland Park tube station or Notting Hill and enjoy the surroundings. The Kyoto Gardens are beautiful.

    Triyoga

    2 reviews

Probably London's biggest yoga studio, with branches in Soho, Primrose Hill, and Chelsea. Every kind of yoga bar Bikram is represented, the teachers are top notch, and at the Primrose Hill location there's a lovely cafe and store. You'll pay through the nose for classes, however.

    The British Museum

    224 reviews

Like the National, a kind-of-insanely great deal: free entry and a formidable collection of artifacts from the past few millenia. You could spend a lifetime or two experiencing everything here. I recommend it for 'Spiritual Seekers' because, like most great museums, you can drift off to a different place while admiring the Rosetta Stone, ancient Babylonian friezes, the finest Renaissance ...

    English National Opera

    3 reviews

The best opera productions in London. Aimed at younger audiences, sung in English. Much better and more interesting than musicals and you can find super cheap (16 gbp) tickets when you book ahead! Amazing experience - I have probably been to at least 12 of their shows.

    The National Gallery

    133 reviews

I thought this would be a not-too-boring way to kill an hour before meeting a friend, but it turned into a really special experience. Each portrait is intelligently accompanied by a brief biographical note, which brought the humanity of the long-dead and mostly forgotten subjects to life. A visit here can easily become a meditation on the ephemeral, if vivid, ...

    Primrose Hill

    23 reviews

Primrose Hill is a great place to run since it actually has a hill. On the rare clear day, you can see the skyline along the Thames. The park is across the street from the London Zoo and Regents Park. The platform at the top of the hill as an inscription from Blake 'I have conversed with the spiritual Sun. ...

    The Tabernacle

My favorite place in London! Tabernacle has everything you ever wanted: espresso, GREAT food, cocktails, classes in yoga/dance/etc, comedy and dance shows, music exhibitions, comfy corner tables with cushions to snuggle up with, a large outdoor area... I love coming here on a Sunday morning, or a Saturday afternoon, to grab some gorgeous food and read a book, or people ...

    Somerset House

    30 reviews

This beautiful neo-classic structure built between the 'Strand' and the 'Thames is home to the Courtauld Gallery, and puts up a wonderful ice skating ring on its courtyard during winter months. The house holds a substantial collection of French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings.

    Highgate Cemetery

    12 reviews

One of the most architecturally interesting cemetaries I have ever been there - Egyptian crypts and gothic angels. Great place to wander and contemplate. Many of the graves are quite old, but there are also more modern names you will recognize, including Karl Marx and Douglass Adams.
