    Callooh Callay

This bar has a certain charm and a few quirky features including a room at the back accessed via a wardrobe. It's always busy, whether on a weeknight or at the weekend and used to be a little bit hipster but is now popular with finance types from the nearby City too. Drinks are good - they make pretty much ...

Greyhound racing at Wimbledon Stadium is one of the few places left to find "authentic" London. Check for offers with an Oyster Card as we were able to use it to get in free.

    The Coal Hole

The top level is standard strand pub style but there's a rare quiet spot in the basement with a small selection of craft beers. Probably the only place in London you can get a table on a Friday night.

One of the oldest pubs in London right in borough market. More scenic from the outside than the inside. Bridget Jones Diary was filmed on this street.

    Ice Bar

    4.5
    4 reviews

Ice Bar London is definitely a unique experience. The walls, floor, seats, tables, bar, and glasses are all made of ice. Groups are let in at 40 minute increments (I believe it's 40 minutes) and, with your entrance ticket, one drink is included. The 40 minutes you're allowed in is more than enough-- even though they give you a coat, ...

    George And Dragon, The

    4.5
    3 reviews

Set right in the heart of the Shoreditch triangle, The George and Dragon is an enduringly popular pub that squeezes quite frightening numbers of gay men into a teeny tiny space each and every weekend. Body to body proximity to the East End gay population is guaranteed, which is almost always a good thing unless you are the claustrophobic sort. ...

    The King's Head Theatre

    4.5
    3 reviews

The King's Head is a great example of a London tradition, the pub theatre, getting a radical update. It's now run by a completely self-funded company (a rarity in national Arts Council supported England) which produces full-length operas with tiny casts as well as avantgarde theatre.

Okay, so a bar might not seem like the most obvious daytime activity, but if you know anything about British culture, you will know that us Brits like to start drinking early. In very few places in the world is it as acceptable to start drinking in the middle of the day as it is in London. So head to ...

This is the IT place for salsa based on what I have heard. So went to check it out on a Saturday night with a few girlfriends. It was very happening even at around 10 o'clock. It is a bit strange to me to see a mix of activities happening in this club: there were people having a full meal, ...

    Camden Eye

Small but nice bar, went on an open mic night. It got pretty crowded, we were there fairly early but couldn't get a seat. The bar food was surprisingly good, definitely try their fish and chips! Don't have much to compare it to, but best that I've had yet. Great homemade tartar sauce.

    Off Broadway

These five stars reflect an admitted weakness for anything resembling my old hometown of New York. At Off Broadway, they have great cocktails, and the best margarita I've had in London. They also pour them like normal bartenders instead of the little shot measures they're constrained to use in the rest of London Town. It's also small and cramped, just ...

London's latest teachers pet is found in the form of an underground bar in Shoreditch. Inspired by Gangs of New York slash Victorian era it sounds gimmicky but this place is done well, they call it hard core traditional British 19th Century, whatever that is. They're not new to the game; this is the next trick up their sleeve after ...

The brightly light exterior is a beacon in a relatively dark and quiet Soho Square. Four floors, food, drinks, entertainment this gay bar packs the punches. Right off Oxford Street, so even during the day it's a fantastic resting place. It's small - but fun. The staff are incredibly friendly, the DJs play excellent sets and the menu offers a ...

Olly this public house remains of what used to be another neighborhood along Regent's canal. It is now part of the #OneMile park in East London, certainly a place to enjoy the summer.
