Buckingham Palace is the residence of the monarchy of Great Britain, in this case, the House of Windsor. Not only is this where the Queen resides, but Buckingham is also her "office" so to speak.

    Southbank London

South Bank of Thames River, London, United Kingdom
    4.5
    56 reviews

Always my first tip for visitors - wander along the Southbank. You can go all the way from Vauxhall down to Tower Bridge (and beyond though it starts to veer off the river). On the way you can take in culture, history, food and the city itself.

Every year millions of Londoners and tourists visit The Green Park, the smallest of the capital's eight Royal Parks. Comprising just over 40 acres of mature trees and grassland next to Buckingham Palace, the peaceful triangle between Piccadilly and Constitution Hill offers a popular location for picnics and sunbathing in fine weather.

    Primrose Hill

61 Chalcot Road, London, Greater London NW1 8LY, United Kingdom
    4.5
    22 reviews

Primrose Hill is marked by a small park, which is surrounded by swanky homes in an upscale neighborhood. The park itself is fairly unremarkable other than a large hill providing a nice view of the area.

One of my all time favourite parts of London. Be sure to walk the full length of it from Canary Wharf to Little Venice. Great for running, strolling and - alas - cycling, but if you do bike, be nice to the pedestrians.

I'll be honest, I didn't actually skate on this ice rink. However, the location is second to none and whether you're skating or watching others skate, you're bound to have a great time!

If you can find a reasonable price for a hotel here. This is a very romantic side of London for me anyways, dispite of it's being in the middle of business center. Here you can walk around at night along the docks, with few restaurants and bars to choose from as well.

An interesting morning to just observe or have a good bargain on new items ranging from socks to kitchen utensils. More than a thousand stalls spread over two streets make up Petticoat Lane Market. This East End market which has been operating since the 1750's or earlier, is named after the petticoats and lace once sold there. Not a touristy ...
