Magnificent museum jam-packed with all things transport in London. You could easily spend several hours here just looking at and interacting with all the exhibits - you can even drive the tube yourself. The gift shop is a design and transport anorak's dream.

Kids love this place. It's right in the heart of Covent Garden so it's a good compromise - kids go to the museum, and then you get to do a bit of shopping. Loads of old buses on which kids can run around. Get a tour of the history of transport in London which is really fascinating. If you are into design there are often exhibitions of transport maps, posters, etc. It's open late on Fridays until 10pm. Best of all kids under 16 get in for FREE!

The London Transport Museum has examples of buses and trains from the past. It's a great museum for that particular sort of history buff and a curiosity for the rest of us.Recommended for:History Buffs

I'm a bit of a map geek and the London Transport Museum often has decent exhibitions on, featuring maps.
Other than regular exhibitions there's also the constant collections with old, old buses, Victorian era train carriages, and the ubiquitous London routemaster.

that's an interesting spot for expeditions. You may get to know a variety of vehicles used for public transport in a fast growing place. You may as well try to discover ways to extend the tube net virtually and find yourself puzzling of how to do it in a economical way. You see a big map of the growing transport net and have a chance to enter tradional transport

Located in Covent Garden, Transport of London's museum is an experience not to be missed by kids and adults who are still kids at heart. Anyone who has ever been awed with how London's Underground was built and enjoys large scale engineering works will love this unique museum.

If you are in to transport and public transport this will fit your needs nicely. It's not a bad little museum. Although a route master double decker bus is the best - and rare to find these days, so you may have to check it out at the museum. Closest tube station is Covent Garden
