Right at Universal Studios. Gr8 location, gr8 staff. Very clean and plush feeling interior. Good workout facility. Have seen several entertainers staying at hotel while we were there. Perfect for exploring North Hollywood and Burbank area by car. Check out Good Neighbor Restaurant(North Highland to Cahuenga) for breakfast and U might see of tv personalities there. The atmosphere was non-existent. The front desk is part of the lounge/bar. It's a strange set up. Even worse you can hear every word everyone in their rooms is saying. Hipster Hell!

I stayed at Elan with some Euro friends, and we were all nothing but satisfied. In Europe, all hotels come with breakfast, so my friends expected the same here, even though I warned them that many US hotels don’t follow the same practice. Elan came through! Perhaps word has gotten around, because there were a disproportionate amount of Europeans there, ...

I stayed at this hotel before/after the extensive renovations. I started out a seedy motel. It was transformed into a seedy hotel. The decor is fine and it is obvious that a lot of thought went into the renovations. What didn't change was the weird clientele. It is very transient but if strange characters don't bother you then try it ...

So cute!! This place has so much charm, I fell in love with it immediately! I felt like I left LA and arrived on the New England seaboard. But instead of lobster boats, this Victorian-home-style inn looks out on the wetlands preserve, with the Hollywood sign visible in the distance. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with the most delicious home-baked ...

Nice hotel in a great location. In the Macy's Plaza mall right in the heart of downtown. You can walk to several new restaurants and bars in the area. Also right next to a metro station, so you can hit up other parts of LA very easily while you're here. Would stay here again for sure.

This is a very unique little hostel. I’ve never been in one this clean—even the blankets are laundered daily. There are only 10 rooms, and they must be reserved in advance and paid for via credit card. Guests receive a code for the front door a few days before their stay, and the locks on the guest rooms themselves are ...

I've never stayed at a hotel by LAX, but this is decent. It's part of the Starwood hotels. They gave us a voucher for the breakfast buffet, but my flight was too early for me to go eat. I hopped on the shuttle and was at the terminal in less than 10 minutes. The view from the 15th floor is ...

This was our hotel of choice for my concert adventure with some friends (yes, all 12 of us and then some). It is close to the Staples Center/LACC/Nokia LIVE Theatre/Club Nokia. And I only need to it to sleep and get ready to have fun. The hotel is an older one with tiny bathrooms and okay beds. The staff were ...

This is a typical Courtyard that is centrally located in the San Fernando Valley, being close to the 101 and not far from the 405, and just a block from the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping mall. You might think I was crazy but choosing between Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, I chose the latter. For the price of the poolfront room of the Roosevelt, I just got the biggest suite of Hollywood Celebrity. It was spacious, clean and for that price you can't find a better location. I adore this place and the owners! My sister threw her Dirty 30th Birthday here this past weekend and this place was great! A good business hotel with great city views. The standard room is elegant, relatively outdated, but comfortable. The rooftop pool/area offers especially beautiful city views. Service was friendly and efficient. The location is most excellent for business travelers and/or performances’ guests. Do explore: visit the Walt Disney Concert Hall & the Union Station to admire their stunning contrasting architectures.

This is a great little find, as it's cheap, clean and their staff is super friendly. The hotel is very close to Union Station, Chinatown and Downtown so you can see a lot of LA without traveling far. They also offer a complimentary continental breakfast and free wifi. The parking isn't free, but almost at $4 per car!
