the cutest little gem in this part of town. used to be our secret go-to place but glad that others found it. the drinks here (all the bobas and milkshake) are amazing, the desserts are so cute, and all the menu items have cute names like "bowlitoes." I love their bowls, their tuna salads, their huge rolls, pretty much everything. ...

    The Griddle Cafe

Griddle Cafe is known for their unique breakfast entrees (particularly the pancakes), so it seemed like a no brainer to hit it up as one of my early morning pit stops in LA. Though I don't usually wake up early for the most important meal of the day, I'd take every opportunity to sample a cult favorite! So here's what ...

    Maccheroni Republic

    8 reviews

Tried to hold off on writing about Maccheroni Republic in order to keep the wait manageable, but thanks to Jonathan Gold, the secret is out! Easily one of my favorite places to grab authentic Italian food in the city. And there's no corkage fee! You can grab a table indoors or on the patio, pop open a bottle of wine ...

Clementines boasts an impressive menu of fresh, organic items, and for the most part they're all pretty good. I had my staple of egg salad sandwiches everyday for about three weeks, and I couldn't get enough. Their desserts were equally well done, and I was never disappointed. Expensive, though. Sometimes a long wait depending on the time of day you ...

    chocolate chair

    3 reviews

Nitrogen ice cream, made to order, and ORGANIC to boot! I got the blueberry flavor but next time I'm getting strawberry. I love the creamy super cold texture of this ice cream. Other offerings include French macarons, Korean shaved ice, coffees and teas. Nice little place to relax and enjoy a sweet treat.

    Jun Won Restaurant

    2 reviews

A place to get real traditional Korean food? I'm in. Jun won, family owned, has accolades on the wall of the waiting area. It's a tiny and cramped restaurant but it's packed for good reason- the food is traditional and delicious. Get the seafood pancake, the fried fish (any of them, and eat the whole thing- bones and all), the ...

    C&M Cafe

What a cute little cafe with innovative sandwiches and breakfast foods! They are known for their cinnamon bun sandwich and the sweets, but I tried their turkey cranberry sandwich and it was to die for! Must try this place if you're in the area!

    Sushi Stop

    13 reviews

I love this place for their cheap sushi -- it's a good price for what you get. They have some interesting sushi plates too! The space is limited and the wait can get long...but there's things to do in the area -- from grabbing dessert after dining to perusing some of the stores nearby while you wait!

    Frances Bakery & Coffee

    6 reviews

Since my boyfriend had to drive to Little Tokyo to purchase a book, I decided to accompany him and take advantage of the location and search for some food places via Yelp. I had Frances Bakery bookmarked, and decided to drag him there with me. The place isn't in the most upscale plaza nor does it look very fancy, but ...

This is one of the consistently best restaurants in LA. Sourcing local, in-season ingredients, and making everything by hand including pastas and pastries, there is something to please everyone! Don't miss the fresh pastas like the cavatelli with sausage and black truffles, the perfect pork chop, the octopus, bone marrow pasta or the sea salt olive oil chocolate tart. It ...

    The Apple Pan

    9 reviews

This place does a classic burger so right. I'd almost say it puts the other, new-fangled fancy burgers to shame, but they're in a completely different category. Remember when your parents (or grandparents) used to talk about how the world was smaller? Things were sourced locally, hardly a large distributor in sight. Things were fresh as fresh could be. THIS ...

    Tribal Cafe

    3 reviews

This is my go-to neighborhood cafe while I am finishing up my rotations across the street. For the last 4 weeks I've been in Echo Park, I've dined at this cafe at least 15 times. I've even asked if they have a loyalty program because for sure I would have racked up a free smoothie or two! Alas the answer ...

    Cafe Dulce

AHHHMAZING. That would be the word I use to describe Cafe Dulce. There is not one thing I don't love about this up and coming cafe in the middle of my favorite little city: Little Tokyo. From their sandwiches to their coffee to their pastries to their staff - everything is Y-U-M-M-Y. ;] Check out my Vlog Review!… Their ...
