    Pot

Roy Choi's newest restaurant in la did not disappoint. Located in the line hotel in k-town, past the swanky bar, lies a Mecca of deliciousness waiting for any hungry passerby. The decor is reminiscent of early ninties- from a distance it looked like confetti or gum stuck to the walls, on closer inspection they were pressed leaves. The food? Great! ...

    El Carmen

    4.5
    4 reviews

I LOVE this tequila bar! It's right next to The Little Door, hidden away with only a giant TAQUERIA sign flashing in front of it. When you go into El Carmen, the decor is splashed with red and decorated with Mexican wrestler masks. The tequila drinks are fantastic, especially the variety of fruity margaritas that are both STRONG and yummy.

    3Twenty Wine Lounge

Incredible wine lounge on la brea. Hand picked wines by the owner who is also a sommelier and really glad I got the wine pairing with my meal as the wines were matched perfectly with each of my dishes. I highly recommend the beet salad, ricotta cheese and the lamb dish over fries. They also have one of my favorite ...

Fresh cuts of fish, over warm rice. Take their suggestions of whether or not to use soy sauce (the chefs sometimes already pre sauce the sushi). The crab roll is EXCELLENT.

Be sure to try the Montrealer Lobster Roll! They make a New England style lobster roll and drape some tender beef brisket strips inside. It was amazing. The cocktail menu is also unique and playful; I really enjoyed the "Cool Runnings".

    Patina

Our experience at Patina was nothing less than spectacular. This was the first time I had dined at one of renowned chef Joachim Splichal's restaurants, and it was absolutely wonderful. Located inside of Frank Gehry's Walt Disney Concert Hall, we not only got to enjoy fine dining, but we got to see one of the most amazing architectural designs in ...

    WP24 by Wolfgang Puck

Located on the top floor of the Ritz-Carlton tower, WP24 (Wolfgang Puck on the 24th Floor) offers beautiful views of Downtown LA and tasty Asian Fusion bites. We came in for some bar bites and drinks before the Clippers game across the street and really enjoyed the sexy and sleek atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly, and although our food took ...

Chef's 7 course tasting menu for $98/per person (5 entrees, 2 desserts). DO IT!!! You are not told what will be on the tasting menu, but I recognize many of the dishes from the regular menu. My date and I each had a different dish for each course -- so it was really tasting 14 dishes, 15 when you count ...

Huge fan of this place, always have had an enjoyable meal. But one has to understand what it is and what it is not. It's a classsically trained chef (Bryant Ng has worked Mozza Pizzeria and other places) doing takes on his and his wife's childhood favorites using these new techniques. So what you get a modern twist on classic ...

I rarely give anything FIVE STARS. This is one of my few exceptions. Run, DO NOT walk to this unbelievable restaurant in Westwood! If you love kabobs these will probably be the best you have ever had. The chicken koobideh is another thing you MUST try. I look forward to trying many more dishes in the future.

    Cicada

The closest Gatsby-esque moment I've experienced. Stunning ladies in their flapper attire being twirled around by gents sporting a bow-tie on a Sunday night. Live 20s band singing, playing the piano, dancing, etc. That feeling that you're in another era was priceless. Right when you walk in you wouldn't believe that this is in downtown LA. You don't have to ...
