    Silverlake Lounge

    2 reviews

Silverlake Wine is such a great store. The staff are excited about what they sell, and knowledgeable. Great prices for great wines, and their frequent wine tastings are well worth attending on a regular basis. Heirloom LA's food truck attends those as well, so you get easy access to dinner, too.

    Muscle Beach

    6 reviews

The original Muscle Beach was just south of the Santa Monica Pier. When that was closed Venice picked up the name and many of the famous names who worked-out in Santa Monica moved over to Venice. For me, the Venice location is antiseptic, fenced off and rather blah.

    Melrose Trading Post

    2 reviews

Not as big as I thought. Paid $3 to enter and parking is free. Had a lot of booths that sold clothes I can find at a thrift shop. Few vintage clothes, lots of jewelry, coins, butterfly collections, cameras, etc. Food court: 2crepe place, 1 Mexican, 2 sandwich shop. 1talentd performer that sang cover songs that I liked. Heard they ...

The Old Zoo @ Griffith Park

    3 reviews

I had a great sunday exploring Hollywood with my sister :) I finally got to see the famous abandoned zoo! It was wayyyy smaller than what I have expected. We jogged up the hill toward the zoo to warm up a bit because it was friggin freezing outside. The early 1900s zoo is covered in graffiti and interiors were all ...

This is a great place to take the kids. They have a blast you actually learn a little something too. There are lots of hands on exhibits. There is also a couple of fast food restaurants if you get hungry because you can spend all day there easily.

    Grand Central Market

DownTown LA foodie paradise!!!! My favorite place to lunch on weekends!!! There are two ways to enter so you could come from either side. It's also walking distance to grand park if you want to check that place out...they sometimes have some sort of festivals during the summer or near Christmas. The only downside is that the bathroom costs money ...

    The Last Bookstore

    13 reviews

Came here to kill 2 birds with one stone. I watched an awesome improv show here at the coolest bookstore in LA that I've never been to. Score! It's all street parking around here, and I was able to find a left side street parking. Paralleling into that was fun! (not really) When I arrived, they had set up the ...

    Seven Grand

    25 reviews

I'm not a whiskey lover nor a hater (but leaning toward the hating side) but I LOVE their whiskey sour and mint julep! yummmmm I prefer sweet drinks that hides the flavor of alcohol. Whiskey sour is different from the other ones I've tried at other bars. It's fluffy on top cuz of the egg white and it's not disgustingly ...

Oh this place definitely has to be revisited! 5 of us turned up here on a Friday after having ramen in a place a little further down the street. At first we took a seat inside the restaurant/bar until my friend remembered the outside seating. Outside is the place to be! Tables and chairs line a converted alley. Xmas lights ...

    Barnsdall Art Park

    3 reviews

This is a great little park on the East end of Hollywood Blvd.. It contains an art gallery, theatre, and an active youth arts program. A Frank Lloyd Wright house, Hollyhock, is also there. The other nicety of the park is that is on a hill and has a nice view f the city.
