    Griffith Park

    4.5
    50 reviews

Griffith Park has so many wonderful things stored inside it: the observatory, which is an absolute must at night; great hiking trails; the LA Zoo; the new Autry Farmer's Market; and even a few restaurants hidden in there. I love taking a tennis ball to the park and throwing it around with friends, and even acting like a little kid ...

    The Grove

    4
    123 reviews

I love The Grove. It's a lovely outdoor shopping mall that's designed to feel like you're walking a cobblestoned plaza of shops and restaurants in Europe. In numbers, the shops are fewer than other large malls. But Nordstrom is here, and that goes a long way for me! I like that you can spend a leisurely day at The Grove. ...

    Little Tokyo

    4
    38 reviews

This is such a fun area to explore in LA. If you love Japanese culture, food, products, or most importantly HELLO KITTY, this is a must-see if you're in the area. The stores are so much fun to check out, lots of Japanese characters clothing and toys, cute female clothing (can get pricey!) and very authentic food. Be careful what ...

    Wi Spa

    10 reviews

Best way to spend the ENTIRE day post July fourth!! Showed up 8:30am and left 6pm. Definitely made my $25 stay worth it. I love saunas. I also love how they're open 24 hours (extra charge if you want to spend the night). They have 4 dry saunas on the main floor (clay, salt, jade, hot like hell), they also ...

    Exhale Venice

    4.5
    3 reviews

Exhale is one of the best yoga studios in the country. Great facility right near the beach, exhale is home to a number of internationally rated yoga instructors. Shiva Rea is probably the most well known, but Matthew Cohen and Hala Khouri are also amazing.

    Ciclavia

    5
    2 reviews

Ciclavia is a day when designated streets are close for people to bike/walk around and celebrate being outdoors in an urban environment. It brings people together and promotes walking and biking. What's not to love about that? My favorite part is discovering places (by foot/bike) that you never noticed before because you've always sped past it in your car.

    LA Boulders

    4.5
    15 reviews

Came here for an event. The location is hard to find depending on which entrance you use. The unit numbers are not easy to read/locate. LA Boulders is right next to the Los Angeles Gun club. Parking: Free parking lot. Trying to find a spot is tough. Shared with LA Gun club. Waivers - You can print and your own ...

    Hollywood Sign

I did the Hollywood Hike to see the sign. Super easy hike, you'll see mothers pushing strollers up because they have blacktop concrete up the majority of the hike. Parking can be tricky so plan in advance here: http://www.parkme.com/hollywood-parking/

    Exposition Park Rose Garden

I love this place and always have... The munchkin loves it too. I think many others find this place an unabashed sea of delight in an otherwise barren concrete wasteland. Pro Tip: This is free to cruise through =) However be very careful you do not visit here with friends of not the highest demeanor. One ill (perfectly) timed shove ...

If you have a limited amount of time in Chinatown and want to walk away with something, this two story store is for you. In addition to a large selection of teas and herbs there is a smattering of everything else that is sold in Chinatown.

    Farmers Market

    4.5
    50 reviews

A nice open market with tons of food stalls, fresh produce, and crafts and trinkets. It's often busy, though, and the food tent can be smelly and dirty - which is a little worrisome. But it's a nice place to check out at least once.

    Silverlake Reservoir

How did this place even get so many good reviews? Honestly, there isn't much to see here. I've been to way better parks that look way nicer than here. And if you're coming here mainly to look at the lake, be prepared to be disappointed. There really is nothing to see. The whole water area is fenced off. You can, ...

    Muscle Beach

    4
    6 reviews

The original Muscle Beach was just south of the Santa Monica Pier. When that was closed Venice picked up the name and many of the famous names who worked-out in Santa Monica moved over to Venice. For me, the Venice location is antiseptic, fenced off and rather blah.

What a lovely place to visit. Not only do you get a sweeping view of the LA basin, you can explore the observatory's exhibits and shows. You can find out your weight on various planets, look at a live view of the sun, and so much more. They have a fun gift shop with some pretty cool items too. If ...

    The Getty Center

I can't help but think of my high school Physics teacher/ Swim coach when I heard the word "Getty". He was known for his no BS swimming practices and his funny physics problems involving monkeys, because monkeys are funny. No relation to my knowledge. Back to the review... I am not much of an art fan, but dang! How can ...
