    Silverlake Reservoir

    5 reviews

How did this place even get so many good reviews? Honestly, there isn't much to see here. I've been to way better parks that look way nicer than here. And if you're coming here mainly to look at the lake, be prepared to be disappointed. There really is nothing to see. The whole water area is fenced off. You can, ...

    Muscle Beach

    6 reviews

The original Muscle Beach was just south of the Santa Monica Pier. When that was closed Venice picked up the name and many of the famous names who worked-out in Santa Monica moved over to Venice. For me, the Venice location is antiseptic, fenced off and rather blah.

    The Getty Center

    153 reviews

I can't help but think of my high school Physics teacher/ Swim coach when I heard the word "Getty". He was known for his no BS swimming practices and his funny physics problems involving monkeys, because monkeys are funny. No relation to my knowledge. Back to the review... I am not much of an art fan, but dang! How can ...

Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)

Loved the LACMA, especially the Japanese Pavillion and modern collections. Don't miss the outdoor light post sculpture or Levitating Mass, a huge rock which isn't really levitating. Hmmm.

    The Getty Villa

    80 reviews

Wonderful place to visit on a sunny California day. Make sure you make a reservation online to ensure you have a spot. Since space is limited, they only allow a certain number of people in each day. I love that it's completely free to enter with the reservation! Paying for parking always sucks. Up on the hill nestles this lovely ...

DownTown LA foodie paradise!!!! My favorite place to lunch on weekends!!! There are two ways to enter so you could come from either side. Seven Grand

I'm not a whiskey lover nor a hater (but leaning toward the hating side) but I LOVE their whiskey sour and mint julep! yummmmm I prefer sweet drinks that hides the flavor of alcohol. Whiskey sour is different from the other ones I've tried at other bars. It's fluffy on top cuz of the egg white and it's not disgustingly ...

Oh this place definitely has to be revisited! 5 of us turned up here on a Friday after having ramen in a place a little further down the street. At first we took a seat inside the restaurant/bar until my friend remembered the outside seating. Outside is the place to be! Tables and chairs line a converted alley. Xmas lights ...

    Exchange LA

    14 reviews

There's so much I can say about Exchange because I've been there so many times! Well, only on Awakening Fridays... Insomniac brings in the best djs! The only things I dislike is that I have poor reception inside (t-mobile) and the lines can be long. There is valet parking, a parking structure nearby, and you can find parking on some ...

Koreatown Plaza is a in the heart of Los Angeles' Koreatown, just a couple of blocks off Wilshire Blvd. It is a modern, stylish 3 story shopping and dining mall, mostly filled with small Korean owned businesses.
