Loved the interior of hotel and the rooms. Workout facility was gr8 too though I liked the LAX Hilton's better. I think those 2 hotels have the largest workout facilities amongst hotels in that area. Location similar to the Hilton, Renaissance, and Sheraton in same area. Staff was gr8 too. See my other reviews for location specifics.

I go to a convention here every year in February and throughly enjoy myself. It's a huge hotel and perfect if you're staying just for the night or like me and staying for a few days. Transport to downtown LA isn't the easiest but there's plenty to eat in the area and if you're in for a convention you probably won't even notice.

This is a massive airport property, but in spite of the size, it still has an upscale feel. The services offered here are topnotch and really make it convenient for travelers. A shuttle runs to LAX every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. Also, they have a “beach trolley” that makes four stops along the Century Corridor. Makes sense—the hotel is only about four miles from Manhattan Beach.
The Starbucks in the lobby seems to inspire its own following. As far as other restaurants, there’s Latitudes 33 (a basic three-meal-a-day spot), as well as Champions (the sports bar) and J.W. Steakhouse, which has won awards from Wine Spectator. The pool is pretty massive, and seems more suited to a resort than an airport hotel. The lobby is a popular place for job interviews, and the elevators are fast and smooth, which is nice at a place with 18 floors and lots of foot traffic.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

Conveniently located less than a mile from LAX, you would never know by the sound of it – all the windows are double-paned and the rooms are comfortable and peacefully silent. The inside has been renovated into a classy business-friendly hotel, with all the conveniences and none of the pretension. The lobby has free wifi and ample table space – all with power outlets – perfect for solo working or casual meetings. A popular Starbucks counter keeps the work flowing. Down the hall is a FedEx business center, and a full-service Hertz counter. I was also impressed by the sheer size of the fitness center, with separate rooms for cardio and weight machines – including a wall of at least 7 treadmills with individual TVs. This definitely feels like a higher class of airport hotel, and it doesn’t break the budget.Recommended for:Business Travelers

This Marriott's has been around a long time and has that mustard colored paint job of many other Marriott's of its day. It has recently been remodeled, however, and updated.
This Marriott's has specialized in catering to persons with disabilities. They have a huge parking lot devoted only to disabled parking, Braille is encoded on elevators and room numbers, and they offer a large number of accessible rooms. As such, they host a couple of conferences for the various disability communities.
The rooms are nothing special, average at best. You will usually pay a rack rate here of about $240, but during conference block room reservations or slow periods, you can get as low as $110. There is a slight discount for AAA and AARP reservations of maybe 5 - 10%.
There are several large ballrooms downstairs for meetings, and there is a free LAX shuttle for here and the Renaissance, a sister hotel in the Marriott chain 1 block behind this one.
There are 3 restaurants, including the Champions Sports Bar which offers casual food, and the JW Steakhouse for steaks and more finer dining. There is a Starbucks located right in the lobby. Overnight parking is $12 for guests, otherwise it is $19 with a gated lot. There is a small gym and a pool.
I come here every year for a conference, but if I had to pay non-conference rack rates, I could save money at several other choices this close to LAX that are right next to this Marriott, like 4 Points Sheraton (about $125 - $175) or Embassy Suites (about $150 - $200),
which both are right next to this Marriott. And the 4 Points has free Wi-Fi (Marriott's charge $11.95/day inside rooms) and the Embassy Suites has free breakfast and happy hour and a suite room.
