A mighty sight to see as soon as you emerge from the funicular, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière is stunning! Sitting high atop the city of Lyon, the basilica of Fourvière is a symbol for the city and can be seen from many points in Lyon. The inside of the basilica is rather ornate and you could sit there ...Popular withLocalSpiritualDesign

I studied abroad in Lyon for the semester and this place was by far my favorite spot to come to. It's definitely your typical park as the place is massive. You can easily spend an entire day here, specially on Sundays when most Lyonnais don't work, this place is packed with people promenading and picnicking in the open fields. There is definitely no lack of restaurants (esp. the traditional bouchons Lyonnais), on Rue Mercière to choose from. At night is the best time to come to find the place for dinner. There are outside patio seatings along this pedestrian only cobble stone street that is absolutely quaint during the day. At night time, with the lights by the restaurants, ...Popular withAdventureLuxury

Place Antonin Poncet is a beautiful square with much historical significance for Lyon. Standing from one end (the river end) and look into the interesting landscaping with the basilica in the background makes for a nice photo op. There are several restaurants and cafes to enjoy this view along the square.Popular withBackpackers

On this wonderful cobble stone street, you will find many bouchons Lyonnais and most importantly, the really cool theatre Marroniers where a set of nondescript doors lead into a passage way that leads into an intimate stage of various shows/plays. Food and Cultural experiences to be had on this wonderful little street.Popular withAdventure

Users purchase a rider card via the kiosks or the travel info center to "check out" the bike, ride to their destination, and then check the bikes back in. There are many Vélo stations dotted through the relatively flat main ...

We had a wonderful day organized by Kanpai Tours visiting the beautiful and gorgeous Beaujoulais region. We were picked up promptly at the time agreed and our tour into the countryside was absolutely memorable. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was great to make stops for us for photo ops. Besides the eating, joining Kanpai to see the wine country ...

The Croix-Rousse is a historical neighborhood that was part of Lyon's famous silk industry. Because of all its tunnels and corridors, it's like a maze navigating your way around the area. But that makes it all the more exciting - turn a corner and there's a cute cafe with a welcoming patio, take another turn and you're standing in front ...Popular withLocal
