Ducks, ducks, ducks, and more ducks. Ducks all day errrrday! This is a really nice park, but rather somewhat dirty. But to me I judge a park by the amount of DUCKS there are. This park surely has enough to deserve 4 stars. There are a lot of metered parking available and it is a nice park to just stroll around.
PS. DO NOT FEED DUCKS BREAD OR CHIPS, IT IS NOT GOOD FOR THEM. DON'T DO IT!! FEED THEM FRUIT PLEASE!

fake id meeestah? chu need et?
I swear that question is asked of me everytime I come here unless its later on at night. Then its time to check out the great central lake fountain or run from a gang banger or panhandler...
This is one of the most famous parks in all of Los Angeles. However it is really dirty. I highly suggest that you do not get in the water, it may be acid and eat your flesh away. I am not joking either... its some scary chit here.
It is nice that they have a tunnel that goes under Wilshire so you can flip from one side to the other with ease. The South side is the iconic pond and a few picnic benches. The North side is a lot more stuff. They have a playground, a soccer field, and a mini outdoor amphitheater.
Talk about some crazy stuff. Not exactly where you want to be strolling around, but it is iconic. I can think of several movies off the top of my head that used this park in them. So you have likely seen it and just didnt realize it or didnt know what park it was... Enjoy it if you come here, but be ready to duck and roll...Recommended for:

Right in the middle of downtown LA. Some spectacular views and great walking paths that take you all around. My favorite experience here was watching Breakestra perform for free as part of the park's summer concert series.
